Nice for a quick visit. Nothing spectacular but if in the area anyways worth a few minutes. It is free, not busy and interesting enough

There is not a lot to see and do in downtown Iquitos, but we checked this out from the outside. The architecture is really nice and it has a pleasant feel. Didn't get a chance to go inside, but could be worth a visit.

We went up river first and saw the churches, which have nothing. no windows, no altar decorations, no books, no electricity. so when we came back to Iquitos and saw the church it was magnificent. perspective is 100% of the game. we waited 45 minutes...More

This church is the second in Iquitos, the first being on the site Ari's Burgers now occupies. Natives were afraid to enter the cathedral because it was falling down. The current cathedral was built from roughly 1905 to 1927. The style is NeoGothic, not Spanish....More
