Overview
More
Amazon tours and Amazon cruises on the upper Amazon River and its tributaries, and the rainforest, from Iquitos Peru. The Dawn on the Amazon Tours and Cruises riverboats are big enough for you to be comfortable and relaxed, but small enough to access the tributaries and lakes where larger cruise ships can not go. If you have an extra day in Iquitos before or after your cruise, Dawn on the Amazon also provides fun, interesting, and educational day trips. Thank you for your consideration.

Monkey Island was interesting and engaging. It is the first time (I travel a lot) to see 4 species of monkey, a macaw, and a sloth up close in their natural environment. Contact with monkeys was a delight. Also the boat trip there offers great...More

We took two one-days tours with Jino from Dawn on the Amazon: a boat trip to a butterfly preserve, and a hike in a jungle nature reserve. The boat trip was excellent - the butterfly preserve and animal rescue centre, visit to a Yagua village,...More

My brother and I just completed the 3-day, 2-night amazon cruise on the Dawn on the Amazon this week. Our expectations for the trip going in were very high, being that we'd read all of the previous Tripadvisor reviews prior to going. Still, our expectations...More

If you want a sanitized, luxury cruise of the Amazon, this is not what you get with Dawn of the Amazon. This is a subdued, mattress pads on the floor, lawn chair seating adventure in an open, hand-made wooden craft that opens up to anything...More

Eaten here many times over the years. While Bill, the owner passed away last year, it is still being well run. Andrew is an excellent server and I will go back again and again

A visit to the Belen market is a must, but with Jino from Dawn on the Amazon as your guide. We saw the full range of local foods harvested from air, land, and river, and had opportunities to try some of them. Jino was such...More
