About
Amazon Wildlife Peru is an ecotourism travel company that organizes tours to exotic destinations in the Manu National Park. Specifically, we offer tours to see and enjoy the wildlife in undeveloped, relatively undisturbed natural areas. We also provide insight into the indigenous culture of the jungle. With the reality and dangers of global warming in mind, we dedicate a lot of time and effort to try and ensure the conservation of the world's natural resources and biodiversity. We work directly with local people and groups in the jungle, such as the Matsiguenkas and Yines, which provides employment and significant benefits for local residents. We carefully manage our tours to minimize negative impacts on the environment and local culture. It is very important to us that the money is reinvested in the jungle to ensure the continuation of life here to benefit the indigenous people. They rely on tourism as a source of income, and also to benefit future tourists.

An incredible tour in the Amazon. The food provided by our chef was great and healthy. We were lucky with the weather going in the wet season, and we saw numerous birds, including many different types of macaws, sloths, Capybaras, Caimans, Tapirs, Giant Otters, many monkeys, snakes, frogs and spiders. Our guide, Will, was fantastic and spotted so many animals for us, he also captured great photos for us. The hot springs were fun too. Would highly recommend Amazon Wildlife Peru.

I couldn't recommend this company any higher they were an absolute 5star for myself and my husband. They are a local company so you know that you are going to have a great experience.
We did a 5 night 6 day tour of the amazon manu park.
We were so happy to have the best guide you could ask for Rivelino! Rivelino is very experienced, he is from the jungle and is very knowledgeable about not only the area and wildlife but also plants, medicines and diseases. Rivelino could recognise any bird call we heard and was an expert. He has a very positive attitude and looked after us greatly. Although we didn't see a jaguar we were so happy with what we saw and the experience we had. We saw 7 different types of monkeys, tapir, endangered giant otters, rare bush dogs, poison frogs, ciral snake, spiders, frogs, hummingbirds and many birds. We also had the best chef Bernardino who kept us very full with amazing delicious food the whole trip. I am vegetarian and my husband eats everything and we were both so impressed by the meals we had!!
The whole experience from booking to finishing was great. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us and especially Rivelino and Bernardino who were with us for the full 6 days they absolutely made our trip and we were lucky to have them both with us and by far, out of all the groups we saw we ate the best and saw the most wildlife and were able to experience a great jungle experience!!
Thank you thank you wildlife peru!! I would highly recommend you to everyone!

A fantastic organisation, had a guide called Will, incredibly passionate the go to guide if you want to go bird watching in the Amazon forest and other wildlife. The crew was also fantastic, every time the cook whipped up something incredibly delicious with the minute availability. The captain and sailor were also fantastic the go to organisation for visiting manu national park!

Amazing 4D/3N tríp in the amazonian forest with Rive the guide, Richard the cook and Alex the driver. Rive is an amazing guide full of knowledge about the amazonian forest. He knows how and where to spot birds, mammals and other species. Food was amazing, mostly locally supplied. 4 days is a bit short and would recommend more days to be able to see more species.

I did the 4D/3N tour, with Ariba (or Rive?) as our guide, and Bernandino as our chef. The whole crew was amazing, and really enhanced the experience! From pre-booking to on the tour, everyone was super helpful and friendly.
We saw a ton of animals, although mostly birds and monkeys. Ariba was good at setting expectations, and saying how a lot of the larger animals are only visible on the longer tours going deeper into the jungle.
The food was great, although the heat made me lose my appetite for most of the journey. It was really unbearable, and made the jungle treks quite miserable. I had to sit out the final one as I was feeling so unwell due to the heat. Of course not the fault of the company, that is just how it is.
The lodges were quite nice! Basic, but that was expected. The first lodge (the Rainforest one) didn't have great sealing, so there were a lot of insects in the room (and even a bat/frog at one point). The lodge in Bonzanza was much better in that regard.
The final day is just one long travel day. Around 4 hours on a boat, then even longer in a van back to Cusco, with no real stops along the way. The other three days were packed full of activities though!
Overall it was a brilliant experience, although if you're like me and from a colder climate, come very prepared for the heat. Anything to cool you down, rehydration sachets, lots of extra t-shirts, and so forth.

An excellent tour right from the start. Communication was quick and professional. Will our guide was an absolute legend! Such a nice guy with so much knowledge to share and super passionate about the fauna & flora. He was quick to spot animals and we saw many. The food was delicious and they were accommodating to make sure our dietary requirements were met. 10/10

We have chosen the 6d/5n trip to manu national park with Will and it was awesome. We saw a lot of wild animals and especially very beautiful and amazing birds. The Lodges were very comfortable and also our meals in the morning, at lunch time and in the evening. We learned a lot about the flora and fauna of the rain forest and will explained us everything we needed and wanted to know. Especially his knowledge came out of his childhood as he grew up in the rainforest. So, he was the perfect guide for us. The Organisation, the experience and also taking care of everything - we really appreciated that! Many thanks!

We went with Rive as our guide, Bernardino as the chef and Alex as driver. It was a fascinating, fantastic tour, with a passionate guide who really loves what he does and is very knowledgeable. We saw lots of animals and beautiful landscapes. Food was great and healthy - with a very good chef. Carmen was very accommodating with our tour adjustments and helped us a lot. We really loved the experience and would recommend to anyone who loves nature. We hope the park will remain protected - and that it will be preserved for posterity and fundamentally for the amazing creatures in it.

We did the 7D/6N Manu reserve tour and it was amazing. Our guide, Rive, had brilliant English and was incredibly knowledgeable and showed us all sorts of animals and birds across the entire reserve. The food was excellent and the cook, Bernardino, even surprised another couple with cake and beers on their anniversary.
Carmen in their office is brilliant and helped answer our endless questions on WhatsApp (definitely drop them a message if you’re interested before booking!) and helped us make sure we had everything we needed.
Be prepared for some cold showers and lodges in the middle of the jungle and an unforgettable experience.

I have just returned from a long trip in Peru and one of the best highlights has been for sure the Manu park tour with Amazon Wildlife in Cusco.
I did the 7D/6N tour in the reserved zone and it was incredibile, a lot of wildlife. We spotted many birds and mammals thanks to our amazing guide William. He is a local guy and he perfectly know the whole park and he has an outstanding ability for seeing animals in the middle of the bush and trees (I think he has some kind of superpower…).
Not to mention the amazing food we had for any meals wherever we were: in the forest, on the boat…the chief always listened our different food requests. The trip will stay inside your soul for a long time: you navigate for many days in the middle of nothing but the Amazon forest. You sleep in incredible locations with the crazy sounds of the jungle. And you meet authentic and kind local people. I recommend for sure this tour!!!

I saw on your website that you have Jaguar season tours. I know there are no guarantees in nature but during the months of May and June what percent of the time do your guests see Jaguars on the 7 day Manu Biosphere Reserve tour?

Are there lodges to sleep in, or sleeping in tents with sleeping bags? Since this is in the middle of the forest, there are no shower facilities?

Hello,
I am not sure if the trip is fitted for the smaller children . Our son was 14 on the trip and had a lot of fun.
Precaution is that there is a really interest on nature (wildlife). The tour cant be comfortable, given by the circumstances in the jungle and on the river , it is adventure but there is no danger for children or teens. Please contact William from wildlife peru for further informations and discuss the issue with him.He is very cooperatively and competent.
Best regards
Jürgen
