Wow! We recently returned from a 6 day/ 5 night trip with Amazon Wildlife Peru to Manu National Park, which was FANTASTIC. Everything was exceptionally organised, from the early communication arrangements with Carmen, to the many adventures in the park. Our guide, Alex, was brilliant - he has an incredible eye for spotting very camouflaged wildlife and could mimic the calls of every single bird or animal we encountered. With Alex guidance, we spotted 6 different types of monkey, many beautiful birds, tapirs, caimans, sloth, capibaras, tortoises, all manner of night animals, plus the incredible giant otters! Our chef, Bernadino, was a master in the kitchen! We were treated to delicious food every day (very impressive as many dishes were cooked on the boat or by the road side!). I could not recommend this company highly enough, a must for any trip to the Amazon.

Manu 6D/5N Fantastic team from Carmen communicating from the office, to Alex and Bernadinho our guide and cook and Hilber and Edwin our captains. We felt extremely safe throughout. Alex is a brilliant guide with loads of experience in the jungle. He spotted countless animals and plants and shared some fascinating insights into jungle life and folklore. Bernadinho is the best cook we’ve met in Peru! Having done a few other multi day trips in Peru his style and menu choice was outstanding. Plenty of food and snacks, we brought extra but never needed them! Manu is beautiful, navigating the river and trails was an inspiring experience. There is an insane amount of variety from birds to mammals, reptiles, insects and flowers/trees. Particularly enjoyable was the upbeat and positive nature of the whole team from the office to the jungle lodges (which were clean and very functional). Lots of smiles and jokes all round.

Amazon Wildlife Peru, an extraordinary surprise discovery (Sept 2021)! I went 7 days/6 nights with this agency to discover the protected area of Manu National Park in the Amazon jungle. The program presented at the agency by Carmen completely seduced me. Her husband William was going to guide us in this lush jungle where he had grown up accompanied by the cook Bernardino who concocted luxury meals for us morning, noon and evening! William is a super caring, experienced, respectful guide and a wealth of knowledge about local vegetation, animals, birds, insects, reptiles and cultures. He also has lynx eyes which spot the best hidden animals. Every day has been a delight for me. The navigation on the Madre de Dios and Manu river was in itself quite an adventure. Felipe and Juan the 2 captains of the boat led us safely through the meanders of these, 2 rivers and stopped whenever an animal was spotted so that we could admire them. We had the chance to see 2 kinds of quetzal, tapirs, pecaris, macaws, different kinds of primates, caimans, giant otters to name a few. It was simply magical. If I could I would have stayed longer. I will definitely come back again. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants a unique and authentic experience.

This is the absolute best thing you can do in Cusco if you have extra time in and if you'd like to plan a rainforest tour. What am amazing opportunity to see part of the pristine Amazon rainforest in Manu National Park. Manu is the most important National Park in Peru, and locals dream of an opportunity to visit this immensely dense Biosphere. Our journey started on May 12, 2021, and we were the first to enter the deepest untouched portions of the Manu Biosphere in nearly 2 years because of the Pandemic. It was such an exciting opportunity and huge honor to be the first group to sign the Pakitza Ranger Station Manu log since January, 2020. Yes, you heard it from me, and no I'm not being paid to say this...Peru is open for Tourism!!! We had an amazing experience on our 7 Day / 6 Night tour. Yes, Peru is still taking covid precautions for your safety, but IT IS open for tourism, and Amazon Wildlife Peru is in full operation. There are additional safety precautions in place, but every effort was made to make us feel welcomed & our journey safe & comfortable. William was an amazing Tour Guide. He has a keen eye for finding all types of wildlife from far away and an amazing ear to hear what is coming in the distance. Juan was our traveling Chef and he prepared amazing meals for us every day. Our Captain was Felipe, and he got us to each destination with safety and comfort while making plenty of stops to see all sorts of wildlife. Jasu was the assistant and he always anticipated our needs while providing invaluable assistance to the Captain in navigating the boat. This was a private tour with just my spouse and I, and as two gay men, William and his entire staff made us feel welcomed, safe, comfortable. They provided us with the same respect and service they would have to any other guests traveling with them. Thank you for the experience of a lifetime Amazon Wildlife Peru. We hope to see you again soon!

My partner and I went on the 6 days 5 nights tour early July last year and it was the absolute highlight of our 1 year travelling. From the wonderful office staff who let us store our bags in the office during our trip, to our INCREDIBLE guides, chefs and boat captains, we are so incredibly grateful. One thing I definitely want to say to anyone thinking about going to Manu- we talked to a lot of other people we met during our 1 month in Peru and those who saw the Amazon rainforest from Iquitos got a very different, touristy and crowded experience. We felt like we were the LUCKIEST people going to Manu instead of Iquitos, it is the opposite of touristy and really felt like a family. This was a lot of money for us, (over a months' budget!) and we thought it was worth absolutely every penny. Thank you again for a trip of a lifetime, it honestly was a dream come true.
