This street has all the well known shopping/fast food. Mcdonalds, starbucks, Bata, etc. If you're missing the US, this is the street to go real quick. Lots of gift shops and stores here. Nothing to see if you don't want to buy.

From McDonalds to local cuisine to alpaca sweaters or arts and crafts this is like a downtown Manhattan neighborhood where if you need something you will find it. Great people just dress warm as The city is at alttitude.

This is the main drag headed down to the plaza de armas and it has loads of stores and crowds of people all the time. It's not really a tourist place as far as I'm concerned it's just a place to go shopping for groceries...More

Cafes, restaurants, boutiques... this is a good place to go if you want to eat, drink coffee, or do a spot of shopping. Otherwise, there's not much to write home about, though it is in a pretty part of town, with beautiful buildings/architecture. Nice, low-key...More

There you will find shopping centers, coffe shops, is the average pedestrian comercial street. A lot of fast food places some locals and the most foreigners.

Calle Mercaderes is Arequipa's main pedestrian street. It is full of stores and coffee shops. For shoes shopping, I recommend Ojeda; for sandwiches, La Lucha; for cakes, Capriccio; and for coffee and snacks, Manolo.

One of the pedestrian only streets in the city centre, this is the busiest and boasts the usual tat like McDonalds, Starbucks, KFC, as well as local clothes shops etc. Nice place for a stroll without being run over.

This is a beautiful street to walk down, as you make your way to the Plaza De Armas and the Arequipa Basilica. There are wonderful shops and restaurants to visit and no cars. It is a very safe and secure area.
