I've never seen this river full of rubbish or pollution. Always clean and flowing, with the water looking like rapids when there's been a lot of rain the day before---it's quite impressive.

This is a great walking area away from all the traffic and smog and is very peaceful. It also has some very nice houses & condominiums on both sides. It is one of the better areas of Cuenca and also runs along Gringo.

I don't understand what you mean by "Open". It's a white-water river and in the city it's a park. I live along the river, and my dog walks it every day. Quite nice. It is lighted at night, and patrolled by the park police so it is very safe. I would post a picture but I don't know how here.
