We loved taking walks along the river in the morning. Shady areas and nice sidewalks with great views.

When you have had enough of the delights of Cuenca, this river is ideally placed for a relaxing break (especially from the traffic). It is next to the 'old town' and only a few minutes walk away from the central plaza. The river is fast...More

Not far from the town centre this is a pleasant stretch of the river with good paths along the bank, places to sit and bars and restaurants in the area. Safe area for walking and relaxing.

Recommend walking along the river. Nice break from the city. There are bars and restaurants along the way and a museum that I would recommend.

Just such a beautiful and relaxing place. I took a book and found a nice place and just sat down and enjoyed listening to the river.

I've never seen this river full of rubbish or pollution. Always clean and flowing, with the water looking like rapids when there's been a lot of rain the day before---it's quite impressive. What's also impressive are the well-kempt river banks which many people sit alongside...More

I live here and walk along the river almost every day. It is peaceful and beautiful, and important anchor in this city (along with the other rivers of Cuenca).

This is a great walking area away from all the traffic and smog and is very peaceful. It also has some very nice houses & condominiums on both sides. It is one of the better areas of Cuenca and also runs along Gringo.
