I had never known about the artist Guayasamin until coming to Quito. We took tours that taught us history of this area. Guayasamin’s art was in large part about war and the horrors of what we do to each other. He had a great heart.
We caught an unregistered taxi and were left about 2 miles away so make sure you get your hotel to organise a registered taxi to get you there

Make sure you get the hotel to order the taxi as the unregistered ones are unreliable and twice we were dropped off miles away from our destination and had to hail down another taxi which isn’t always easy
