We found the statue interesting because it recognizes, in a positive way, the role played by German immigrants from the 1850's had on Chile.

This was an interesting monument, especially if you were interested in the German settlement part of their history--which our private tour guide explained. The town was under constant rain most of the day so not much was visible or walker friendly.

This monument is located outside of the mall. From what I could understand it symbolises the end of German colonisation, and it is pretty well done too :)

This monument is one of the first things you come to after you walk out of the cruise terminal on your way up town. If you Geocache there is a nice one very near these monuments

Walking tour of waterfront passes these statutes. Not really explained what they are, but many people have dogs, so maybe a representation of the locals.

This sculpture is modern depiction of "Go west young man" to commemorate the colonization of Chile by Europeans . SEveral countries sent their tired and weary but also Germans left their heritage to establish colonies in valleys like Germany. ( Puerto Veras)
