The hike to Mt. Fitz Roy and Laguna de los Tres is definitely the must-do hike from El Chalten, but this is a beautiful mountain and the hike is much more moderate. The mountain is in view (on a good weather day) for a majority...More

Second great hiking tour from El Chalten to the view of Cerro Torre, it takes you by nice valley with some main viewpoints, but all the time you can look around and be amazed.

I went on 2 hikes in the area. One was to Lago Torre to get a ground view of the lake and surrounding panorama. The other was a hike to a Piego Tumbado (?) which was a largely uphill hike to get an amazing elevated...More

As mentioned before, the weather can be the worst enemy for this hike. The wind was incredibly strong building some nice waves on the Laguna Torre... It is not a difficult hike but, at least in the approach, the wind can really make it harder....More
