An interesting trip to retrace where our troops fought back in 1982. Very open and bleak landscape and would not have like to have been there during that time of the year.

You should only come here if you are interested in war stories. This location is part of the fierce battles took place over Falkland. there are some scraps left overs of the Argentinian Army on the grounds.

We visited as part of a one day battlefield tour. Excellent day out. Superb views from the top and lots of interesting 1982 stories to hear about. An excellent tour.

Falklanders take con5inued pride over Mount Longdon. Our driver on our return from Volunteer Point, took the time to explain the battle at Mount Longdon. A helicopter is burnt and rusting along the highway as a relic of the battle. Fascinating history that the Falklanders...More

Its history is riveting, the battle fought there intense and tragic. The relics of war still remain. We found the climb even to the lower reaches very moving. What a desolate, sad place, yet the scene of such courage ...

For a taste of what Falklands battlegrounds were like, this is the place. You can easily retrace the steps of the British troops as they stormed the top... it's quite a hike so take your time and wear proper footware and a warm jacket (wind)....More

This is a good couple of hours walk from Moody Brook, where your vehicle can be left. It's reasonably easy to reach, however, it can be boggy when wet. Be careful, because it's highly unlikely that you will see anyone else on your walk. There...More

What an amazing part of the world. This is wilderness at its best & a place that everyone should visit at least once.

Hi, I was working out of Stanley for 6 weeks with the search and rescue helicopter. The best bet would to head for the small travel agents in Stanley, which is a stones throw from the jetty and sea front. Its located a... More
