How happy were my wife and I that we chose to visit Bleaker Island on our two-week holiday on the Falklands. A brilliant experience on every level: a very professional and warm welcome by Nick, super food by Cecilia and attentive service from Seba. Excellent...More
I visited Bleaker Island earlier this month, whilst visiting my partner who is currently working in the Falklands.
The cottage accommodation is brilliant, very clean and comfortable and although we bought food with us, the island store room is available to buy most things which...More
This time around we were in the Falkland Islands and Chile. Reflecting over our two weeks, Bleaker was the highlight. It rained, it snowed, the wind blew a gale and to everyone else, this was the wrong time of year to visit. But we loved...More
Comfortable accommodation, well placed. Incredible wildlife only a walk away. We had a bit of a storm overnight, which was quite an experience. Recommend for Imperial shags, rockhopper and gentoo penguins, sealions and some incredible walking.
Great lodge here. Decent size rooms and communal lounge. Owners very helpful with information about the island and an introductory tour on arrival. Lodge manager a bit abrupt dealing with some visitors. The lovely thing about the island is that you can walk to the...More
We flew in 8 seater Britten Norman Island aircraft and landed on the air strip, safe and smooth. Pick up by Father & Son team (Mike & Nick). We stayed in a spacious cottage with 2 bed rooms, kitchen, living room... all by ourself. The...More

I cannot rate Bleaker Island highly enough. We had our honeymoon here. Mike and Phyl Rendall could not have been better hosts than they were, Elaine was helpful and, together with the chef (whose name I cannot remember), produced wonderful food - in fact it...More
We stayed at Cassard House as part of a second visit to the Falklands, staying at Carcass, Sea Lion, Pebble and Steeple Jason. The lodge is very clean comfortable and well run. The food is hotel standard rather than B&B.
The wildlife is fantastic and...More
