The Long Bar has a famous backstory, and is a “must-visit” spot when in Singapore. The Singapore Sling is a delicious, festive drink. Drinks at the bar are overpriced, to be sure, but there is great ambiance and lots of tradition, including peanut shells on...More

Of course we had to have a Singapore Sling, it was expensive but one has to taste the original recipe and it did not disappoint. The bar was remodeled and had a snazzy British flair. The rest of the building was still under renovations.

On the to do list in Singapore, have a (expensive) Sling at the original (now refurbished) Long Bar. The hotel is still being refurbished so for now it is just the bar with peanut shells on the floor. Bar is nice, great ambiance.

Unfortunately, the hotel is being renovated so only the long bar is available. It’s not clearly sign posted either. Maybe when the hotel is fully opened I can up the score, but for now, the bar on its own is just not special enough. The...More

Well, what can I say, it’s certainly an experience. Just loved the ambience of this place, the Long Bar and the cocktail mixer were original. The Singapore Sling was expensive, but it’s what you go for, just loved the peanuts and brushing the shells on...More

The only reason to go to Long Bar is to be able to say that you did it and tick it off your things-to-do list. The cocktails were way overpriced and very average. For me personally, it is the most overrated experience in Singapore. For...More

First impression: Tasty Indonesian peanuts with shells scattering all over the white, grey and black pattern floor, one might think that the bar has been frequented by monkeys, while air conditioners and ceiling of bamboo fans that are moved by electricity keeping the place cool....More

Nice place to chill out with friends, good ambiance and interesting decor. Friendly staff. But the drinks are quite pricey.

22$ for a pint.... ok, the ambiance and history....but I waited for 25 minutes while being ignored by the studiously inattentive staff and arrogant floor manager. I finally was noticed when I took a picture of bar staff with my phone. Later I called their...More

You need to check that the Raffles Hotel has reopened, as during our visit in April, it was under-going a complete refurbishment. To get the Singapore Sling experience, there was a very small temporary 'pop-up' Long Bar at... More

Yes, they are. They serve cocktails and snack type foods. They might enjoy throwing peanuts on the floor! Be prepared for the really expensive prices!!!
