About
The city’s most popular stretch of beach always buzzes with activity – even when it’s not playing host to the wide spectrum of sporting events that grace its shores regularly, like the Singapore Marathon and Xtreme Championship.

Good place to visit with family, however, the park is very dirty, dirty bench and unclean grass. Can’t swim in sea, it’s a slope, steep, you can dip and stand only or go very deep. Marine cove area has decent food options and children play area is good.

One of my favourite places to hang out, cycling, jogging, walking or to have a barbecue by the beach.
Since I got to Sg , I'm going there every month and it's always a good vibe, the view and just a fresh air.
You can book a barbecue pit or rent a bicycle,Boat , etc.
It's quite a few of bars and restaurants around the area as well.
If you like to exercise that will be a good spot to run or play some volleyball.
Cheers

This is a place in Singapore, where you get Fresh Air and Nice Sea Breeze.
Ideal Place for Jogging, Walking, Cycling, Skating and Water-Sports. One can take Bi-Cycle, Mutli-Paddle Cycle, Skating Blades etc on hourly rental and enjoy.
There are Car-Parks, Cafeterias at regular distances for the sake of convenience.
In the evening, Viewing Sunset is a Good Experience we had.

Just the place to go to relax by the sea side where the gentle sea breeze and wafting waves of the sea give you the perfect setting to walk, jog or run in relaxed style unhindered in sheer abandon!
Memorable evening we spent last week.
Will certainly come again.
Do give it a try!

We rented the Anywheel bikes at Mist Walk outside Marina Bay Sands as there were many bicycles there. We cycled along the Marina Bay Bicycle Path around the Gardens by the Bay to Marina Barrage. Crossing the Marina Bridge, it was a very scenic ride along Garden By the Bay (East) Park Connector both in terms of the view and the numerous flowering plants along the PC. We continued to East Coast Bicycle Path passing the Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant. We could use the rest rooms here but the water cooler is not available. It was an enjoyable and safe ride as the cycling path has been widen to include two way paths unlike long ago where cyclists going in both directions shared the same path. We returned our bicycles at D1 carpark.

We decided to rent our lady's bikes at the GoCycling outlet at East Coast Park C4 as it is the only outlet that opens at 8 am on a weekday. The rental rate is $8 for one hour with another free hour. As we chose to return our bicycle at the T2 outlet, we needed to put a deposit of $50 which was given back to us when we returned our bicycles at T2 outlet. The bicycles are in very good condition and our seats' heights were adjusted for us.
The cycling path was wonderful, a great improvement over the old path many years back. As we went further towards Changi, it got more scenic. The path are quite wide and there were not many people cycling at that time.
We took about an hour to reach the junction of two cycling paths, one leading to T2 and the other leading to Changi. We decided to explore abit more of the Changi Coastal path even though we are returning our bicycles at T2. The view along this stretch is very beautiful and our photos resemble the coastal area of Southern Italy with the blue sky and turquoise sea water.
The Jurassia Mile is now modified with high fence and many dinosaurs have been moved to different parts of the park connector between the Jurassic Mile and T2 Hub and Spoke area. There is a water cooler next to the bicycle rental shop at T2. We took bus 36 at T2 basement bus stop to lunch at Etna restaurant at Upper East Coast Road. The three main functioning GoCycling outlets are at East Coast park C4, T2 and Changi Beach Park C1.

My doughter and her friend missplaced or taken by some one the rental bike. Bike was rented from gocycling ecp C4. The trip was ended with police report and payment of $200 each bike. Staffs from gocycling were not serious on reporting of missing. I asked the accountability of bike but they didnt care much on it. However, one of the staff has assured if found he will call for refund.

Yesterday’s nature walk was just a short one. Not so many birds about - the usual selection of doves and mynahs. A nice spotted dove high in a tree and of shore birds - just a common sandpiper on the shoreline.
An equatorial spitting cobra
Plenty of bugs and flying insects about:
An orange assassin bug
Lynx spider
Rufous legged grasshopper
Common grasshopper
Cream edged tiger beetle
Leaf footed bugs
Weaver ants
Lots of butterflies and a few dragonflies:
Geometer moth
Chocolate argus
Spine tufted skimmer

Looking for a beach holiday for the kids. Is this a good place for the kids to do some swimming? Is the water clean, warm and are there waves to play in? Trying to avoid Sentosa!

Apparently it’s safe to swim however haven’t seen many swimmers. Could be because the water may not be all that clean. There are multiple other water sport activities for kids and adults.

I read East coast park is wheel chair friendly. I want to know if the wheelchairs are chargeable. Also wherefrom within the park area can i access wheelchairs for my senior citizen parents? Thanks!

It’s wheelchair friendly place meaning that there are no steps to hinder the maneuvering of the wheel chair. But there’s no wheelchair for public use there. So you will have to bring your own.

Hello!
I plan to visit Singapore for 2 weeks with 2 children. Beach vacation near the East Coast Park. Can we freely there sunbathing and swim? What are the limitations?
Roseocean
Sugar Land, TX82 contributions
Yes, people do get in the water. The majority of people go to do onshore activities. Ride bikes you rent, walk, see sun rise over the water and enjoy meal at restaurant or on the grass. We never really saw anyone sunbathing. That was done at Sentosa. Make sure you get your free MRT card with your passport to use the public Mass Rail Transit system. You add money to this card to use the bus, river taxi and underground train. Singapore's public system is great. Everyone uses it.

Hello guys,Im ankit and Im gonna be travelling to Singapore on 29th of September and will stay there for one day,30th sept and the hotel that I've booked is the Venue hotel, which I think aint that far from Eeast Coast Park.
Please if anyone could tell me is 600 USD enough for a day in Singapore, Im planing to convert only 200 USD though.
And How much could be the cab charge from airport to my hotel which is like 13 kms from the airport.
And also My flight back to India is in the morning 7 Am on 1st October so is it easy to get a cab at night because I will leave for the airport at 3 or 4AM.
And yes does the East Coast Park a free public park or is there a fee to enter it.?
Thanks in Advance
Regards

Morning : Breakfast in Chinatown hawker center. Visit the Buddha Relic temple (7 mins walk).
Then head to civic district via Singapore River. It's about 20 mins walk. You will see the old part of Singapore.
Noon : Get some lunch at Rochor Hawker Center. Plenty of affordable local food there. Go before 12 noon to avoid the lunch time crowd.
Afternoon : It will be very warm and humid then. Go to Mustafa Shopping, the only 24 hrs store in SG that sells everything except pork & alcohol. Loved finding little surprises there.
