About
The breath-taking connection between Faber Peak Singapore and Sentosa Island Established since 1974, Singapore Cable Car is the nation's first and only cableway that links Faber Peak on mainland Singapore to the island resort of Sentosa, before flying you to the Merlion or the sandy beach at Siloso. Today, the cable car rides are enjoyed across a Cable Car Sky Network of more than 100 cabins spanning almost 5 kilometres on the Mount Faber Line and the Sentosa Line. A 'joyride' across the Cable Car Sky Network offers a 360-degree aerial and visual treat of the entire Sentosa-HarbourFront skyline and the resort island. The scenery transforms as the cabins soar above the forest, through a skyscraper, over the harbour and travel across the jungle, sand and sea. Our passionate service ambassadors are on hand to create happy moments for all cable car joyriders. Singapore Cable Car Opening Hours: From 8.45am to 10pm (Last boarding: 9.30pm)
Duration: 1-2 hours

- HeatSeekerWrexham, United Kingdom4,677 contributionsDo this for the ride, and the views from the carYou get some lovely views, and it’s the most exciting way to go to Mt Faber. We also love hearing the sounds of the forest as we fly over it. There are 2 separate cable car lines. The longer goes from Sentosa to Mt Faber, the other goes along Sentosa. Both give brilliant views. We bought passes, and also enjoyed the views after dark. I dislike the grey tint to the windows, which does downgrade the view, especially at dusk. There can be queues at some stations, we saw queues at Mt Faber and Harbourfront, but nowhere else. Visitors may buy tickets before they are aware of the queues. Cable cars are always expensive, and the ride, especially just a single round trip, is very dear. Other options are better value, check out the web site. We found the staff very helpful to the disabled. Cars were slowed, and I found boarding easy, but they do not stop the cars normally. If you’re in a wheelchair, talk to staff before buying tickets. It’s a lovely way to see more of Singapore, we feel it enhanced our time on Sentosa.Visited March 2023Written 18 April 2023
- Anamika T44 contributionsMust visit experienceMust do experience if you are in Singapore. Beautiful view of the city, greenery and Sentosa island from the cable car. It is also great way to enter Sentosa island or visit Faber Peak. We have taken a one year membership which turns out to be cheaper if you use cable car twice also.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 27 April 2023
- roaming_kiwi58Christchurch, New Zealand2,827 contributionsA worthwhile excursion when in SingaporeWe got a senior day pass which covered the cable car to/from Mt Faber as well as the cable car on Sentosa Island. We started at Harbourfront, went up to Mt Faber, where we got off for a walk around. Then back on the cable car to go down to Sentosa. Went from Imbiah Station to Siloso Point, where we had another wander and did the Skywalk. Then cablecar across the island to the Merlion Station, before returning to Imbiah, and then back to Harbourfront, to check out the shiopping centre. An enjoyable few hours. Great views from the cable car. A good outing when visiting Singapore.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 June 2023
- Nicola R4 contributionsFantastic viewsThis was a spur of the moment decision, as we were looking for something to fill in the time before we could check in to our hotel. Really enjoyed the view on our round trip, amazing to see right out over the harbour. Reasonably priced and would recommend.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 July 2023
- Anco MAberdeen, United Kingdom677 contributionsNice Way to SentosoWe took a taxi to Mount Faber in order to take a cable car trip to Sentosa. After waiting a fair amount of time in front of the ticketing office and for the cable car itself we got in. The trip is a nice relaxed way to get to Sentosa with nice views en route. On the way back we decided take the monorail back to the mainland, although the returnees included inter ticket.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 July 2023
- BakermanzRotorua District, New Zealand28 contributionsA great way to see Singapore - highly recommended! We decided to try the cable car experience for a nice relaxing way to spend a couple of hours after a long flight. Our family really enjoyed this trip, we went in the evening so we could enjoy the sunset and then see the city lit up at night. I would recommend getting a Cable Car Sky Pass directly from the website as this takes you round all the terminals, and you can hop on and off and look around if you want. We did this and it meant the whole trip took a couple of hours, although you could do the whole trip in half an hour if you didn't get out at the stops. Great value in my view and highly recommended!Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 25 July 2023
- MICHELLEEssex, United Kingdom139 contributionsTop of the WorldThe cable car was great superb views of Singapore. we got on at sentosa Island and went to the top to mount faber and walked all round the trails and the merlion on the top. lovely places to have a picnic. then bac down to go to the fort and the beach walk great day out so much to do.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 October 2023
- Lynnlynn1Wisbech, United Kingdom207 contributionsAn escape from the city.We got a taxi to Mount Faber to get on the cable cars. There were no queues, so we didn't have to share a cable car. The views are fabulous. We took a round trip to sentosa Island. Its about 20 minutes each way. And no time limit within the day as to when you return. The beach is beautiful with clear blue sea.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 November 2023
- Jennifer CCumbria, United Kingdom974 contributionsAmazing views. We got a taxi from our hotel to Mount Faber he suggested not to return but instead get off at Harbour side if we wanted to get a taxi back as they have a dedicated taxi rank so would be easier. This is exactly what we did so great advice from the driver. We arrived early and bought the tickets and boarded with no queue at all. The ride was amazing, we were thankful for the fan with the map on as was very hot. Once we got to sentosa we did the cable car ride getting off at merlion and had a paddle on the beach, beautiful but bizarre to see all the shipping containers so nearby!!! We loved the whole experience and would definitely recommend.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 January 2024
- DavidjellisLowestoft, United Kingdom8,809 contributionsLovely scenic way to get to Sentosa Island but expensive for short journeysMy wife and I used the cable car to travel from our cruise ship at Harbourfront to Sentosa Island to visit Universal Studios. It was a scenic way to travel and offered wonderful views over our ship, Keppel Bay and Sentosa island. The charge was S$35 each for a return ticket, which would have been reasonable if you wanted to explore the whole cable car network from Mount Faber to Merlion Park, however to pay the same price for our short journey (one stop) from Harbourfront to Sentosa and back was rather steep. There are cheaper ways to do the journey (such as the MRT from VivoCity or even walking it via the boardwalk) although for the views it was a fun thing to do. If we return to Singapore we would take the cheaper options. Also note that the cable car pods are heavily decorated in transfers and stickers so visibility isn't as good as you would expect, but we enjoyed our short albeit expensive journey. It gave us some cool views over the top of our ship.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 January 2024

We got the pass that allowed us to go from the harbor front up to Mount Faber, explore around in that area, then back down to harbor front, onto Sentosa Island. It was a sunny gorgeous weather day, so the view is simply stunning.
From there we took the cable car that went across the island, giving us the opportunity to visit the areas on the island itself.
High recommend this cable car system.

We took the cable car to get to Sentosa Island - there is also a sky train, but the cable car is much cooler. You get to go to Mount Faber as well, where you get great views of Singapore and Santosa Island. The best part: due to the cable car celebrating its 50th birthday, all of it was branded in Pokémon style. We loved it!

A neat experience and seems to be very well run. Cars have some airflow, but no AC. Not too bad in morning, but may be a bit stickier in the afternoon.
You can buy an unlimited ride pass, which can get you from Faber Peak to Sentosa Island. There you can switch to another part that runs along Sentosa Island. There is a stop conveniently located right near the Harborfront, where the cruise ships dock. When you clear security you go to left in mall and outside. Plenty of signs.

It must be good weather! We had rain, no view. Without rain and clouds it will be a good possibility to have wide panorama to see and make pictures. Good perpective to see buildings dragon tooth.

The great thing about a cable car ride is enjoying the marvellous views. And I love hearing the sounds of the forest as the car glides silently across.
Well, this experience is spoilt. The windows have been partly obscured by silly pictures which can only be seen from outside the car! Also noisy adverts destroy the peace and quiet. There are 2 adverts on each leg of the journey, each last about 20 seconds., so you still get some time to enjoy the natural sounds.
The views are still there, and are great. The ride is very expensive, so check the cars for blocked windows before buying tickets.

Dear HeatSeekerWrexham_UK,
Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share your insights following your recent cable car experience. Your feedback is highly valued, and we are committed to addressing your concerns.
We want to clarify that the Pokemon theme you mentioned is part of an additional thematic campaign designed to enhance the cable car journey for our guests. However, we apologise if the perforated decals in our themed cabins affected your overall enjoyment.
While our goal is to provide unique and enjoyable experiences through thematic campaigns, the pricing for the cable car remains consistent irrespective of the theme in place. Your feedback is pivotal to us, and we will carefully consider it as we plan future thematic campaigns and decor.
In regards to the disruptive adverts, we apologise for any disturbance they may have caused to the peaceful ambience of your ride. Please be informed that there is a volume button on the screen, enabling passengers to mute the advertisements and enjoy a more tranquil environment during the journey.
We genuinely appreciate your understanding and look forward to the opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future. Thank you for selecting our cable car service, and we eagerly await the chance to welcome you back soon.
Warm regards,
Shidah

Hi...if i purchase a round trip Sentosa cable car ticket, can i alight at each station and spend sometime there then board again to continue to the next station till i complete all 3 stops then ride back to where i first board?
Or is it just point to point like i can only ride from merlion to siloso, alight, then ride back to merlion again?

All the options possible. Day pass also there. You can get all information at ticket counter.
I got cable car tickets (written optional) as I bought tickets for Jurong Bird Park. Can I use those straightway? These tickets should be two way then?
