The Genting Dream Cruise - 3 days 2 nights Singapore-Westport Klang - Singapore was purchased from Klook. A very limited information was provided by Klook. No cabin number was given even after online check in 72 hours before cruise departure. When reaching at Marina Bay Cruise Centre, a lots of visitors were queuing to check in luggage. Now cabin number was given. No clear instructions were provided about the boarding time. The staff of the Marina Cruise Centre were not friendly and not helpful. They asked passengers to stand for 35 minutes to get to clear security checking. Not recommended. Genting Dream Cruise only want to earn money, poor service provided. Genting Dream even parked the ship in Westport Klang (a cargo port). The Chinese restaurant food were poor quality. Sweet and sour pork was hard to bite. Kai lan vegetable had chemical odor and taste. Hard boil eggs were cooked repeatedly as the egg white was peeled. The balcony room bathroom was too high to step in! Kicked the stair and painful till crying. The housekeeping staff was not initiative and interested in working. Late boarding time started in Marina Bay Cruise. Westport - you need to get free bus tickets from customer service counter Genting Dream before you need to transfer to Port Klang. This very important info was not provided during checking in ! The buses were very old and the drivers were smoking while moving the wheelchair for other customers. Smelly buses. The cruise was very huge but boring. No hard copy of program given . All you need to download.

Pathetic management and experience. Start to end, the cruise center staff spoils your mood.
We took the genting dreams cruise , which was by far my most pathetic cruise experience ever. Even star cruise was better.
But cruise center boarding and deboarding with all the staff of cruise, cruise center and immigration officials made our holiday the worst ever that I could have imagined. If you want to start your holiday with three long queues (one after the another) for 30 min each and then staff not helping even small kids with automated lines at immigration and yelling at you to move move move.
Kids felt miserable.

Cruise is must visit, but do plan tour trip to Singapore so that you have a day to relax after that. There are so many activities that days will pass as wind. Take your time don't rush to reach every activity. Plan and book in advance on cruise app, mostly shows as they have limited capacity or you have to queue up till all advance booking settled. Also don't worry about food and stuff as you will get something to eat at any time of day or even night. Paid activities are costly so choose as per your convenience.
Regarding Drinks take your own SEALED bottles not more than 750ml per person, as drinks are very costly to be paid in USD.
Drinking water you get 4 no 500ml bottle per room for 3 days cruise. Rest you have to purchase for USD 4 per bottle. So better keep your empty bottles and fill up from drinking water station as seen on airport.
If you want to purchase Alcoholic beverages package it cost a real heck around USD 400 for two adult, and to surprise you cannot buy for single person , for one room if you are with your better half who doesn't drink than also you are forced to pay for both.
But if you're willing to pay than it is best option as you can have any brand available anytime till bar is open and there are lots of them which you can find open anytime.
Rest all please experience.
Bon voyage.....

Bad Security
Very Very Chaotic checkin...no proper signage
baggage handlers look like goons and behave like one.
it took us 3 hours to checkin, had informed about wheel chair for my old parents much in advance. but no wheel chair i had to request at least 20 people before i got them.
Overall a harrowing experince.

Considering the size of the dock area, number of ships it caters for we were pleased and surprised how quickly our embarkation was carried out, The terminal is a fair way from the city sights so a taxi is needed to get back into the city. Nearest tourist area is Bay of Gardens and Sands Bay Hotel, both of which are certainly worth visiting.

My review is specifically on the services and experiences of Genting dream cruise ( 2 nights) trip to port Klang. The cruise embarkation area does look a bit chaotic but the process of immigration was well organised though a bit slow. We had reached around 4 pm and managed to be in shape by 6:30 pm and the ship started sail 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. The balcony room was small but very comfortable and clean. Infact the interiors of the ship were creatively done. The rooms start from the 9th level till 16th level where they accommodate the palace suites. The ship has multiple inhouse activities happening simultaneously and it was you to decide what you wish to do. Children have their own entertainment itinerary. They also have a play area where the first 2 hrs are free and then charged 30 SGD/hr. The lido buffet serves multi-speciality cuisine with Indian, Jain, halaal and continental food. There is a resturant which has a ala carte and there also multiple fine dine resturants which are ofcourse chargeable. The ship docked at Port Klang next afternoon at 12:00 pm and they organise various trips to Malaysia. We saw the dulce habana show on board which was impressive. A pre valentines evening party was organised on the pool deck which was very lively. For a first timer the experience was amazing and would definitely recommend to everyone.

Embarrassing the Sapphire Princess was a dream, so smooth and so quick, absolutely perfect organisation.
However on disembarking the area was chaos outside trying to locate our taxi driver with two ships at the same time.
He was upstairs we were downstairs.
Tobe fair we didnt use much in the way of facilities at the terminal as we were processed getting on so quickly.
Passport control disembarking was rather slow but I'll pit that down to any extra checks due to the Corona virus

I did not find any duty free shop at the cruise center. Please check the alcohol policy of your cruise liner beforehand. They have distinct policies.

We are sailing from Darwin to Singapore. We will be arriving at Harbour Front at 8:00AM. Our flight from Singapore does not leave until 1:00am. We would like to see Chinatown and Little India before we go to the airport. Can we leave our luggage at the cruise centre and if we do how late is the centre open for us to retrieve our luggage. Also is it possible to incorporate the free night tour from the airport into our plans or is that available only to passengers in transit?

I’m not familiar with the free night tour, but you can have your luggage taken to the airport, for a fee, which cost us $40 Singapore dollars and pick it up there before your flight, the vendor who does this is on the left side near the exit to the cruise terminal.
