Its location is quite central-south, opposite the Sentosa Island and nestled near the Telok Blangah secondary rain forest. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city access to the Hill is either via car, a hiking trail or even by Singapore’s cable car system (Mount Faber Station) linking Mount Faber to Sentosa Island, But most ppe goes to the destination mainly for the suite of leisure, lifestyle and F&B services. Featuring some famous & iconic F&B establishments at the Top, locals & tourists came to savour a taste at high altitude! Via hiking from the Henderson Waves side the park is part of the Southern Ridges, which also comprises Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve. The stunning view of the horizon is amazing and one can also gaze through the telescopes at one of the many lookout points for that panoramic view of the surroundings and the few southern islands From the very original Defence Fort for Colonial Singapore the place has transformed itself to an attractive destination for many!Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 October 2023

- DavidjellisLowestoft, United Kingdom8,809 contributionsGreat views over Singapore and Sentosa island - 2nd highest peak in SingaporeWe visited Mount Faber as part of a cruise ship excursion and was told by our guide that it was the second highest 'mountain' in Singapore. Calling it a mountain is a little flattering as it's just a few hundred meters tall, lower than many of the buildings in the city, but the views were worth the short stop. In one direction you have views over the city, and in the other you can see Sentosa Island and the imposing 'Reflections at Keppel Bay' condominiums. We accessed the mountain top via coach and a short walk, however one of the most popular ways of getting there is the Singapore Cable Car, where the line from Sentosa Island finishes. The top of the mountain is very wooded with many trees and wildlife a plenty. On our walk a large 'grasshopper / cricket' type creature landed on my back...it must have been big as I felt it land through my clothes, but I didn't get the chance to take a photo as our guide swiped at it with his stick and it left the scene before I could get a good look at it! It's a popular hiking location and I can see why as it was a nice viewpoint and the mountain looked like a great place to spot wildlife etc. I wish we had longer there to explore but sadly our time was limited to a short photo stop. Well worth checking out.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 January 2024
- Katharine M23 contributionsGood views and pleasant walk.Mount Faber is easily reached by cable car. There is a nice restaurant for drinks or meals. If you are having dinner I would recommend that you book it and wear insect repellent. There is a sloping walk down the hill that meets up with the Henderson Waves Bridge. The rest of the South Ridge walk is getting repaired just now but will be open in April.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 February 2024

We took the cable car from harbor front to Mount Faber. Started our morning here for some hiking and walking around the area. Got to see the Poland's Bells of Happiness at Faber Peak, a set of very colorful steps. Walked along the footpath to reach Faber Point, the circular viewing area offers views of Keppel Harbor. It also has glass panels embedded into the ground pointing to many local landmarks. We found the Merlion statue here. There are also many murals with the time to enjoy.
The point area is extremely popular with tour buses. Seems like endless amount of people poured into the point for photographs. We waited a little bit, they come in waves so we got our peace and quiet after they rushed in and rushed out.
The area has many shaded paths, a good way to spend the day.

I like the therapeutic effect of immersion in natural environment. The first place I think of is the forest walk in the Southern Ridges. However, when I reached the Alexandra Arc Bridge this morning, it was barricaded for maintenance and a notice from NPARKS offered another alternative route via Depot Heights.
From the rear of Blk 106A Depot Heights, I found a staircase that led me to the Terrace Garden. Tall dense trees loomed at both sides of the staircase, and I like the feeling of being surrounded by greenery. From the Terrace Garden, I went around exploring the Picnic Hilltops, Alkaff Mansion, the Henderson Waves and the Therapeutic Garden of Telok Blangah Hill Park before wandering further to Mount Faber Park.
It was drizzling when I reached the Terrace Garden. As the rain patter down, the Telok Blangah Hill Park became misty and cooling. I felt like I was at Genting or Cameron Highlands. The pavilion at the Picnic Hill top looked majestic with two rows of trees standing tall like muscular strong bodyguards protecting her. The garden at Alkaff Mansion resembled one in a rustic English town of the Victorian age decorated with beautiful rosy garlands of flowers hang on the walls. Visitors who patronized the restaurant sat in the open garden relaxed, enjoying their food while at the second floor, a wedding function was going on.
The panoramic view at Mount Faber was gorgeous and breathtaking on that misty rainy morning. I could feel the freshness of the air and the millions of ions emitting from the surrounding trees and vegetation as my eyes looked across the cable car plying towards Sentosa. A signage at Mount Faber Peak stated that Mount Faber commanded the best hilltop view of Singapore. I fully agreed with it.
As I walked along the Marang Trail, I realized that this is indeed one of the many trails at Mount Faber hillside that I am looking for to take my forest bath. A sense of calmness and peace enveloped me and set my mind into a meditative state. I stood still for a while taking few deep breaths to enjoy the fresh air.
As I exit the trail, the heavy traffic noise at Harbour Front woke me up from my sedative state. The Southern Ridges hike from Alexandra to Mount Faber took me about two hours but I treasured and loved this immersive trail with nature.

Best accessed from the Singapore Cable Car is this rugged green space with lots of walking trails that connect up to other parks. Henderson Waves is a short ten minute walk from here. At the top cable car station there is a small gift shop, a restaurant and the Polish Bells. Ring both for luck.

Hi, when are you visiting? The mount faber line is due for maintenance 23 sept till 30 sept. If it doesn't clash with your trip, yes, you can take a round trip within slightly more than half hour... you can board the cable car at Harbourfront station, go to mount faber, then head back to Harbourfront station towards Sentosa. It arrives at the tiger sky tower at Sentosa. Best to refer to the cable car map at onefabergroup and Sentosa map for clarity.
How much is the cable car ride to Sentosa ?

I visited about 10-15 days back. The round trip ticket includes two separate lines and costs in total SGD 33. I have heard that you can get a deal if you buy it early.

Hello,
This is Mrittika from India.
Am visiting Singapore from 23-Feb'15 till 1-Mar'15 for vacation along with my parents. Would like to know about the restaurants or cafés onsite Mount Faber? Also, how do I get there using public transportation from Hotel Park Sovereign-Albert?
Thanks.

There is one open style cafe and one restaurant on the top of Mount Faber, don't remember their names but I am sure you can look them up. The only way to get there is to go to the Harbourfront MRT and take the cable car. Instead of getting off on Sentosa you need to keep going to get to Mount Faber (on the cable car). Or you can just take a taxi :) Cable car if definitely a tad bit more exciting though.
