We went to this hawker centre looking for the typical flavors and smells of India, only to realise that in Singapore, one can find all Asian cuisines under the same roof. We had naan, roti prata, vadai, chendol and teh tarik. There was so much...More

The food is fantastic at the Teka centre! Brilliant food stalls and my favourite by far is Madina Mubaraka, really is a must visit for some of the best Indian food you’ll ever have!

We went to Joe’s Butcher for oxtails, seeing that it’s a cheaper alternative to Cold Storage, but recently, the guys there have been too arrogant with familiar faces. We asked for a particular tail that we had our eye on, but the guy rummaged through...More

Wouldn't eat here if they paid me. It was filthy. Stunk of everything from sweat to off meat and had sick looking birds running all over the food tables. We wondered the streets looking for a place to eat but nowhere looked interested in serving...More

With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of
Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander
past traditional barbershops while local residents in
brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from
decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful
shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge.
Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts
and take in the stalls selling bright flowers,

I haven't bought a saree in Singapore but there are certainly plenty to choose from at Tekka in many standards of quality. Find one you like then try your negotiating skills.
