Informative
Jan 2020 • Family
We visited the museum early one morning. My husband loved it. He said it was very informative and he learned a lot about Palawan's involvement in the war. He would definitely visit again.

I had the 5 year old and we spent most of the time going from room to room so I could identify the different flags, uniforms and items for her. I didn't learn as much but was grateful there was plenty to keep her occupied (including the mayna birds outside), and staff who helped keep her entertained while telling me some history. Overall I think it was well done.

It’s a very nice place to visit, i have a great time spending with my friends!
You will pay 50 pesos for a small but interesting place! Funniest part was the strange and funny sounds of birds on the entrance! (You will see them)

Interesting place to get some local perspective on the war which raged here. Good collection of uniforms, maps, weapons and memorabilia. Mrs. Marcos's ruby slippers also on display.

Came by Tricycle on route elsewhere. Only 50 pesos entrance. It’s small but really interesting and enthusiastic staff. Definitely stop off if in area.

Great history of the WW2

Lots of artifacts from everywhere. All parties involved in the war. There was a brown out while we were there so they supplied a lamp.

After seeing the museum being recommanded on internet I thought it'd be a nice activity to do on a Tuesday. Not all trike drivers seem to know the place so you might have to ask a few. The museum has a nice collection of pictures and WW2-items... The entrance fee is almost for free, 50 PHP. I was the only visitor and was offered information by a super friendly lady with whom I had a very nice chat with. The place is very small but has soul and dedication!

This is one of the three museums in Puerta Princessa, Palawan, Philippines. The WWII Memorial Museum was the only one open on Saturday, July 6, 2019. (Heritage Museum at City hall closes on weekends, Palawan Museum is closed for renovation.)
The WWII museum was not well known by the Tricy-Cab drivers so use Google maps to show them the location, near the Cargo Terminal at the airport. You can also call and they will answer to confirm their hours. Very reasonable admission Pesos 50 (=1 US$), seniors, Pesos 30.
Small museum with lots of Items, documents, and pictures with details about happenings at Puerta Princessa during WWII and the great efforts and sacrifices of Filipinos and Americans. A veryknowledgeable and friendly hostess/staff added her stories to our experience. I highly recommend a visit, quick and easy.
