if you are Muslim and looking for clothes or dress or accessories, here is the right place in Jakarta. but it is quite a lot of people in day time. better don't take your own car, just go for taxi.

Went there on Wednesday around 3 plus pm so it was pretty late. Still extremely crowded at that hour. Yes the stuff there is cheap but the narrow aisles and overcrowding really put me off. Everything was dim and building really looked it's age. I found the signs confusing and couldn't really figure our way around the area.

Tanah Abang mall contain of 2 blocks, block A & B, Block A mostly sell textile while block B mostly sell ready made cloth. Overcrowded place and abit dirty as the trash Bin is beside the elevator and the trash is spill all over the floor. But price is cheap if you want to buy wholesale textile

Its a very crowded place where you can buy clothes like traditional attire and mainly Batik print. The prices are cheap, but, you need to find the best for you.

If you can support heavy crowd, you can take a toc toc from anywhere in Jakarta. Do not expect a closed airconditioned market. Prices are low. No western cloths. Asian and indonesian dresses including batic.

If you really like to buy local stuff like batik shirt and other fake branded bags. Here you come as lots of stores and you can ship whole day! They have 4 block A-D and 12 storey per block .. amazing and you can really find a good bargain here in Jakarta. Great place to come for sure !

A very good varieties of clothes for a cheaper price. Of cource when it comes to foreighners the bargaining ability should be powerful. Food court is available on the top most floor. Happy shopping everyone.

Spent about half a day in going around the Tanak Abang Textile Market! Starting from Batik shirts and clothers to various T Shirts and other textiles, I found Tanah Abang Market being not only colourful but also quite affordable.

We ordered our curtain at Block A, Basement 1.There are many shops selling curtain. We ordered our curtain at a shop name Sinar Gordyn located at B1 Lot G50-51.This shop is recommended by our relative, anyway you should shop around at other sops too. Our order is ready by two days and deliver to the hotel where we stay in Jakarta.
I think there should be tailor made clothing too.

hotel near tanah abang. Fave hotel, holiday inn express wahid hasyim there is also few others. Journey time depends on the traffic. price wise if you are taking cab it'll follow meter. so unable to advice but price range about RP 150,000

It encompasses:
AURI shophouses for fabric, accessories & also Factory Outlet products.
The Blok A & Blok B ( tall green building ) has anything from Children wear, Muslim apparel, Men, batik, bags, shoes, sports wear, undergarments etc. Be aware that items are zoned by level, for directory assistance you can ask at the information counter located in LG level.
PGMTA (yellow building) the main activity center for wholesale, do arrive as early as 6 am. Some stores immediately sell out upon opening. Mainly women’s fashion & Muslim wear.
