Happened to find this by chance after walking back from the mid level escalators. Such a contrast to the sharpness & newness of central district. Seeing the old original market bits when they are up is a haven of colour & activity & out kids...More

Pottinger street offers such a contrast with Queens Road designer shops and luxury malls! It's hard to believe those two streets are side by side. The street is very steep and is lined both ways by small outside stalls. It's quite touristic but what is...More

It is difficult to imagine in the modern city of Hong kong, still keeping this nostalgic street. As the whole street all used stone slab paved, it is also known as the stone slab street. The stone slabs were designed to a high-low of irregular...More

This is a classic place where many movies are being filmed. Do wear a pair of comfortable shoe and bring along a bottle of water. Great place to shop for souvenirs as well.

I got lost again but I found this nice street! It's a charming street full with history, fun and lots of cobblestones. Small street stalls sell ribbons, small souvenirs and cute stuff. Great to be lost in HK.

A nice place to walk around and explore. This street actually looks very much like all other streets in the central area (not those with high rise buildings) a great walk to see and experience old Hongkong. Shops along upslopes, old eateries, tatty buildings etc....More

Went cos I know that it's one of the site for filming running man. I wanted to know if the slope is indeed that steep. I Guess after checking the place out, I finally understand why the mid levels escalator is there. Interesting setup. Tiny...More

We specifically went to find Haloween costumes, and were not disappointed. Not a huge market, but great choice on all fancy dress costumes.

I loved my walks around this area that has a wonderful array of shops, bars, coffee shops etc. This street is interesting and the stone slabs which I assume are there to slow down carts are a unique feature so worth a walk down.

hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up
to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open
late into the night and there just happens to be a
street party every weekend. Although everything seems
to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of
