Rare gem in a restless city. Everything is so calm and zen here. Guided tour (Cantonese only) and heart sutra calligraphy sessions are highly recommended. Remember to pre-book your visit online as it's open for appointments only.

My husband and I visited early October 2018. I made my reservation online a month or so prior, as soon as my desired visit date opened up. The website is not very stable, and stubbornly reverts to Chinese, especially on a mobile device. We took...More

We did a short visit here, as we were trying to see as many sights as possible. It is lovely and I enjoyed it.

Quanyin is the bodhisattva of compassion. It's very important to visit this monastery established in fine detail and elegance by Mr. Li Ka-shing. I recommend copying the Lotus Sutra in the meditation hall. It's extremely peaceful and a lovely experience.

If you only have time to visit one Buddhist monastery in Hong Kong, Tsz Shan (TS) is the one. Unlike other monasteries TS is tranquil and peaceful with no burning incense. The number of visitors are well controlled and regulated; thus there are no big...More

This is a typical tourist place, but well worth seeing, it will show you what old HK was like. I liked it.

A tranquil and spiritual "Tang Architecture" temple away from the bustling side of Hong Kong. Beautiful "Goddess of Mercy and Compassion" or "Guan Shi Yin Bodhisattva". This is a private own property thus there is a control of number of visitors a day. Advance booking...More
