Fantastic experience whilst visiting Hong Kong. Would definitely recommend all travellers to have a trip on the ferry.

Ever since our last trip to Hong Kong in Dec 2017, my partner has been going on and on about how we should have arranged for a Star Ferry ride because it is iconic and highly representative of Hong Kong. So this year April, when...More

A simple boat ride across from Tsim Sha Tsui. Best views from this direction if you sit on the left side. The ticket machines are right before you get on the boat and are a token system, you will need change or HK$10/$20 bills. We...More

While it's cool for the historical value and ease of crossing the harbor, there isn't much more to say about it. The trip is very short and not particularly scenic.

Stayed on Hong Kong island for one week, in the Wan Chai district. The Star Ferry terminal was a few minutes walking distance from our hotel and we loved using the ferry! It’s cheap, easy, convenient (we used our Octopus card), and so lovely to...More

I guess if one is visiting Hong Kong a trip on the Kowloon ferry is an absolute must. These ferries have been portrayed in so many films and commentaries that one can be forgiven for celebrity spotting when travelling on them. The crossings are cheap...More

Runs between Kowloon and the Island. Quick and fun to use. Very cheap and you can use Octopus card. Gives great views of the harbour. A little hard to find in Kowloon the first time.

Such an easy and convenient way to cross from Kowloon to the other side of the harbour for visiting places like the peak and Causeway Bay etc.

Decided to go to Victoria peak, so walked from the hotel to the harbor Kowloon, after browsing about recommendations how to get there, so that was the best option and very recommended. If you are looking just to cross over, not the cruise. I got...More

Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping
areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of

the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an
abundant number of high-end retail stores selling

There are ticket counters located on the piers where you can easily purchase the tickets. Alternately, I suggest you use the Octopus card, which is a stored value card that you can buy at any MTR station. You can store money... More

We bought single tickets. They only cost 2.7 Hong Kong dollars which is less than 50 US cents. There is a machine that takes cash on the pier. It is very easy and simple. Ticket machine gives change.
