We stumbled upon this area Walked around the lake. Shops and restaurants around the lake. Looks like you can rent boats to take you around the lake. The fire temple is in from of the lake. Nice to visit. No cost

Located on the west side of Qianhai Lake, this is a trendy lane filled with artsy bars, cafes and restaurants most with loud music. Upscale and more for the yuppies, this is a popular place to mingle with Beijing residents.

This is very nice place to visit as a tourist. During morning quite and during evening and nigh crowded with people. Many shops and restaurants are here. It near the lake and a hutong you can also visit. Souvenir shops are here also.
