    You must see Great Wall!!
If you thinking about all of those famous but not worth to visit places, this is NOT Great Wall in China. This place is breathtaking, worth any effort to get there. The only obvious minus is crowd. Almost every single day is full of people. (Visited in 2019)

Quite commercialized but well worth visiting
Of course the great wall is a have to have been to. This part idles quite commercial in that the parking is far away, a shuttle to get you close is needed, and then a cable car or rope lift (like ski lift) to get up - there's a 45 min walk to the wall as well but then one is exhausted before starting the actual wall. I was clearly the only older person hiking from tower 6 to 20 - cable car goes to 14 so if you want to go to tower 20, it's best but wasn't in service the day we went. The slide down does allow over 60 year olds. No idea why. Views are impressive though not green

The Great Wall of China - done ☑️
Went to the wall as a must see during our trip to Beijing!! After reading reviews here we booked with Mubus for their tour. Fantastic organisation, collection and timing of the trip. Samantha our guide was brilliant, gave a great briefing and ensured we had all the ticket information needed to take full advantage of our trip to Mutianyu. To top it all we had great weather and company on the wall and really felt part of the Mubus family!! Highly recommended 😂

    Very good
It was a very convenient way to experience the great wall. From the shuttle bus to the ticketing process, everything was taken care of for me. Plus the tobogganing off the great wall was an unexpected surprise. Would definitely recommend.

Went with Mubus, trip went great!
I booked with Mubus, who shuttled me from Beijing to Mutianyu, purchased tickets for me, and guided me through the whole process. They were very helpful and everything was reasonably priced. Mubus also has their own building in the village near the wall with a buffet lunch and snacks.

The Mutianyu Great Wall in Beijing is an awe-inspiring and ancient structure that winds its way through the mountains of China. It is one of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall and offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The wall is over 2,000 years old and is built with stones and bricks, making it an impressive sight to behold. The winding path of the wall makes it a great spot for hiking and exploring. There are also several watchtowers along the way, providing a great opportunity to take in the views from above. A must-visit destination.

We use DiDi Apps (similar to Grabcar, Gojek, Tada, Ryde) to hail a ride to Mutianyu. Bought bus tickets at the main entrance of Mutianyu to bring us to the foot of the mountain. You may choose to either take a round trip cable car ride (very short ride) or single trip or Toboggan to reach the tower. The steps up to Tower 10 is gradual but long and tedious. We took about 30 mins to reach Tower 10 as along the way we rested a couple of times to catch our breath. Our thigh, knee caps and heels were very sore the next day. Do equipped yourself a good pair of shoes that provide good support. There are rest stops along the way with benches and tables. Be well prepared with bottles of water, food and a wind breaker (if you are visiting in late November). Most greenery are gone as it's approaching winter. There are small eateries but I observed that most people brought their food & drinks instead. Very glaring so do wear sunglasses or spectacle lens that change colour according to your environment. Steps at Mutianyu are not steep unlike the one I visited 20 years ago at Badaling Great Wall.

There is Subway and a restaurant that have vegetarian options at the foot of the mountain. Both are only accessible via souvenirs shop entrance. No other entrance or exit.

One of the most visited part of Great Wall of China. 70km from Beijing, possible to visit during long layover. Open section is nicely renovated and it is definitely worth of money you pay for entrance (200 CNY = cca 25 EUR). If possible, choose off season part of year, avoid of Chinese holidays and be there at the beginning of opening hours at 8:00 AM morning. We were very first visitors that day and it was amazing. Just two of us on Great Wall of China. Should we have more time, we would go to Jinshanling part of Great wall. It is more authentic, where you can find also non-renovated sections of wall.

It was a wonderful day at the Great Wall! Thank you to Claire from Mubus, she took very good care of us! We went during the week and luckily it was not very crowded. My highlight was the way up to Tower 20.
I can also recommend the lunch that is offered at the Mubus place, there is a great variety and it is very tasty for a very good price!

Today I have had a wonderful experience at The Mutianyu Great Wall. I booked the 1-day trip of Mubus and this is very convenient because Mubus does arrange everything for their customers, including shuttle bus to the Great Wall and the various tickets inside the tourist attraction. Moreover, it is surprising that Mubus has their own tourists centre at The Mutianyu Great Wall to allow their customers to take good rest before or after climbing on The Great Wall, which there are some free snacks and drinks, as well as buffet lunch at a reasonable price with discount. This is such a very considerate service.

Other than that, I was so lucky to meet a very joyful and professional tour guide from Mubus - Mike, whose Chinese nickname is Xiao Qiang. He is such a professional tour guide which he provides bilingual descriptions during the whole tour as there are both Chinese and Foreign tourists. He also takes good care of every tourist to ensure their safety.

Overall, this is a very satisfying experience towards both the service and the tour guide from Mubus. Mubus is strongly recommended to those who would like to visit Great Walls and other spots in Beijing and I personally will choose Mubus when I have my trip again in Beijing in the future.
