The Temple of Heaven is surrounded by a park. You must walk the park as it is fascinating. Many elderly people working out, elderly musician groups and more. My personal favorite was the match maker park...where Mothers/Fathers were looking for suitable spouse for their kids....More

I had a wander around here this morning. It's a huge park with some interesting tourist attractions to wander through, although I didn't bother with any of that as it was lovely enough wandering through the trees and exploring the various areas of the park....More

My 11 and 13 year old boys and I traveled here with a private tour guide in July. Be prepared for sweltering heat! This place is big!

We used a guide for this tour (Selina) who we were unimpressed with. The Temple of Heaven itself was remarkable and sadly we visited it on the worse day possible .... pouring with rain, however, it is still magnificent.

We loved our visit and loved to hear the history. We were lucky to see a good percentage of the Temple of Heaven and had good weather.

This is a wonderful complex of buildings and parks. The park around the temple is extremly beautiful. A bit crowded like most places in China. Very interesting and worth making time to visit.
