I am not very impressed with this garden. Looks small for an imperial garden unlike the ones in Seoul and Japan

I was a lovely garden, shady stroll and temple after the hot sun of Forbidden City. Climb up the stairs to the Temple to get the birds eye view of the Forbidden City and understand the expanse of it.

Lots of different plants in this garden, with unusual rock formations as part of the display. Nice calm place to take a stroll in provided there are not hordes of people there.d

This is a nice place to live and surround yourself in the middle of a magic combination of historical buildings. You feel like entering another century while going there. Knowing its age it is stil pretty amazing how they buit this. Nice to see

A lovely surprise to find this, although not sure that a visit to the palace is worth it just for the gardens. Lots of very old trees, and very scenic. Glad I visited, but don't think I would go again.

We visited on an unseasonably warm 36 degree day and the coolness and shade of the gardens was a welcome relief.

Serenity and tranquility are the hallmarks of the space. It is a very beautiful and peaceful place in the heart of Beijing, i feel it is worth visiting any time but better in spring and autumn.
