You get lost in the history. The weapons were my favourite part, the swords and guns ( tomb raider kinda action was on my mind). And you get a great view of the ocean from some areas.

Our guide made the experience of Fort Jesus come to life. Very interesting stories and great displays. Highly recommended. He also offered to tour us around Mombassa for a tip.

This is a nice day trip and part of the history of Mombasa. Entry costs $11 or $12 dollars so is very reasonable. It is usually visited as part of a tour that also includes the Mombasa Tusks and the Old City.

I like the changes made by the National Museums where once you, you get a guide to take you through the massive fort. And for the first time understood where the name has come from. This is nice and now very clean unlike before

The Fort Jesus tour will take approximately one hour, visit the old town, the old hobour, then the Fort Jesus. You can as well visit the Mackinnon market, used to be a slave market, then the Mombasa Tusk , visit the Akamba... More
