We visited the mummification museum this morning and it was very quiet. Do not be conned into getting a taxi from Luxor Temple as it is a five minute walk. Cost 80 EYP each to get in and we paid 50 EYP to take photos....More
This is a very small museum with only a few exhibits. We had walked from our hotel which was about 25mins away but only spent about 20 mins in the museum. As with all museums in Egypt they are very dimly lit.
I was a bit shocked when I entered as I was looking for an extension to the building but there was none. Its a very small space. But it does have some interesting displays. The single mummy is probably worth he price of admission (100LE)...More
