The Valley of The Kong's is definitely worth visiting if you are in Luxor. It is amazing and gives great insight into the ancient Egyptians and the afterlife. So much history! The weather in January was perfect, 70 degrees with a light breeze.
The valley of the kings is majestic as it is amazing. There are various tombs and some of them are well preserved considering that they date thousands of years ago. An amazing lesson in History. Just owed by the civilization so many years ago!
Its amazing and you must see it if you have a full day in Luxor but the sound and light show at Karnak temple is the best ancient Egypt experience. I recommend that you visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatsephshut early in the morning before...More
Absolutely blown away! I think this was the highlight of my trip to Egypt.

We were advised by our guide that there was no guarantee on any given day that certain tombs would be open as they would close them for a number of reasons. You just have to go there and hope that the ones you want to see are open. We were not disappointed. You have to pay extra to see some of them.
