The Valley of The Kong's is definitely worth visiting if you are in Luxor. It is amazing and gives great insight into the ancient Egyptians and the afterlife. So much history! The weather in January was perfect, 70 degrees with a light breeze.

Seeing three tombs with the basic ticket is great, but if you can afford it visiting some of the extra tombs is very much worth it!

The valley of the kings is majestic as it is amazing. There are various tombs and some of them are well preserved considering that they date thousands of years ago. An amazing lesson in History. Just owed by the civilization so many years ago!

Its amazing and you must see it if you have a full day in Luxor but the sound and light show at Karnak temple is the best ancient Egypt experience. I recommend that you visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatsephshut early in the morning before...More

This is an incredible place to visit. The tombs are, most of them, well preserved. We were able to see Tutankamon's tomb which is a very good luck. I understand, they do close and open tombs alternately. We were lucky because it wasn't crowded. We...More

Of everything we saw and did in Egypt (scuba in the Red Sea, Pyramids, Luxor), the Valley of the Kings was the most memorable. We went into 4 of the 7 available tombs, and felt that was just right. We had a good range of...More

We explored the area for a couple of hours. We went off the beaten track a little together away from the boards of tourists visiting the tomb definitely worth a visit.

Amazing Egypt. Brilliance existed then. Nowaday it's only knowledge. Exceptional place. Safe and clean - generally - for what is considered a 3rd world country. Pyramids are only 1 attraction. Countless other things to do - Snorkeling, horse and carriage through Luxor, sail the Nile...More
