They provide demonstrations on how the papyrus is formed into the paper, woven and the pressed. Lots of bartering, go in by yourself or you will have to pay a commission to your driver

Gallery quality is way above what you see on the streets. They will write your family name in heiroglyphics while you wait.

Well worth a visit. The papyrus was beautiful. We bought a couple of pictures for our walls. Useful if you want a keeper souvenir, otherwise best to skip.

One of the things I appreciated most about this shop is that they demonstrate how papyrus is made - show you how to tell if papyrus is genuine, etc. The staff are incredibly friendly and willing to go above and beyond for you - especially...More

I really enjoyed our stop at this shop. There was a wonderful demonstration on how papyrus was made. Also the shop was filled with papyrus works of art that could be purchased or just looked at. There is no pressure to buy anything. I found...More
