They are huge, you are certainly not missing it. Make sure to have loads of cold water in there, as it is expensive. Sun protector and be prepared to sweat

This is one of those places you've seen on tv, the movies, online, everywhere. But when you're actually there it's amazing. I've been a number of times over the last 30 years and I'm always struck by it.

Visit as early in the morning as you can, it gets very hot on the Plateau very early. The Pyramids are amazing and the surrounding tombs are well worth visiting. If you don't mind being pestered by vendors selling everything from postcards to camel rides...More

I would NOT recommend going inside the pyramid if you are carrying small children are elderly, have bad knees, claustrophobic etc. Its easiest to climb down the shaft backward..it's less strain on the neck.

The Great Pyramids must be experienced close up, preferably from a camel. Clearly worth the effort to visit. Try the Marriott Mena House for a room with a view.
