We visited both Mosque of Sultan Hassan & Al-Rifa'i Mosque right next to it. We were there first thing in the morning and there was not a single other visitor. I had specifically requested them to be included on our itinerary, and our guide told...More

This place was very quiet. There were few worshippers here. This mosque is stunning and impressive from outside and inside. I went there during summer and Ramadan season so was nice and chill inside. Highly recommended.

The first Mosque I can say I have visited. Quite the tour. Right outside of town but the drive is half the fun. This is probably one of those things not to be missed if you have come this far.

This was really an amazing and huge mosque to visit, and it didn't take too much time either. I loved admiring the architecture. Definitely recommended if you have time.

This is one of the biggest mosques in the world. The architecture (with lots of domes)and interior decorations are interesting, but the huge entrance is amazing. It is in a great state of repair, as it is a working mosque.

The Greatest Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan is one of the greatest Islamic monuments in the world. Both the architecture, facades, minarets and the interiors are amazing. The monumental entrance is remarkable.

This is a challenge to find but Ibrahim saw me puzzled so took me in hand (for the usual fee). 700 years old. I had to pay the mosque man to get access to the roof (150 pounds) but what fun and what sights. A...More

One of the best place to visit in Saladin's citadel Cairo. It is bigger than the Blue Mosque in Istanbul Turkey. We visited this place on Friday but since we wanted to pray in Al-Azhar mosque we didn't get a chance to pray in this...More
