Thank you to the team, especially local guide Chris. I was only in Seoul for a short time, and having seen so many great food options I was eager to ensure I got a true experience. Number one on my list was Korean BBQ, but I was aware it can be a little tricky to have when travelling solo.
We started off with fried pork dumplings, moving onto bbq, dessert (I won’t spoil the surprise and ending in the popular but authentic Gwanjang market.
Chris was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and happy to discuss insights into Korean culture and food.
I would highly recommend it , and make sure you arrive hungry!!

We really enjoyed trying new dishes and alcoholic beverages that we wouldn’t have on our own. Really fun night!

We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Jai. We explored little alley ways we would never have been brave enough to go down on our own and started our evening in a traditional ‘after work’ hangout. Jai took us to more hidden gems and gave us lots of insight into Korean culture as we walked through the instagram worthy streets of Insadong. We also picked up recommendations for places to try in future and I hope to do one of her cooking classes next time we come to Seoul.

Absolutely great experience! The course was well organized and the chef spoke excellent English and was a wonderful teacher. My Kimchi received compliments from my Korean relatives.
Since returning to the States I have made the Kimchi and tonight I plan to make Bulgogi. Many friends have asked me to teach them how to make Kimchi because of its amazing health benefits.
The market tour was also very worthwhile! I plan to take another course during my next visit.

This is a great cooking class that I would highly recommend. Jia made everything easy to follow, and it was great to share the meal at the end of the class.

So we went on a Saturday, and the local markets happened to be closed that particular day, but we didn't miss out on anything. My daughters and I were taught how to make bulgogi and kimchi. The lesson was peppered with a little history and even some personal anecdotes. Our chef was amazing and very friendly. After we finished cooking, we were then served our food and we had a wonderful lunch. The area of Seoul where the building is located is nice and quiet compared to downtown Seoul, or Gangnam where we stayed, so it was nice to see another side of Seoul. My daughters loved this experience.

After reading the La Jolla Mum blog I booked this experience expecting great food and an entertaining evening. Young and Da made the evening much more than that. We went to quirky venues to enjoy authentic Korean food and drinks. We certainly wouldn’t have found these venues on our own. We were part of a big group - but this certainly didn’t impact on our enjoyment. Having a son in Australia of approximately Young’s age, we exchanged ideas on life for his generation in Korea now and in Australia - something that doesn’t usually come with an evening of eating and drinking with new acquaintances. Da was a special treat too - with such a good sense of humour. Of course I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys food. The interesting and entertaining guides were such a bonus. As for my introductory heading...well you will have to take this food tour to find out!

My wife and I had a great time with our host Lynn. She was a gracious, friendly, intelligent, and warm host. She provided us a so many great insights into Korean culture and cuisine.
We only had a limited time in Seoul, so this was a great opportunity for us to eat some great food, and be exposed to the Korean food scene.
Had sooo much good food and drink - it was delicious!
Thank you O'ngo and Lynn!

I had a great time with this good tour. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a nice delicious taste of samples of Korean food in the area, with some great context added by some very nice, knowledgeable guides that spoke good English. Highly recommended!

First things first, K (Kim) is a great and knowledgeable guide. He's really fun and funny.
As for the tour, walking around the back alley's of Insadong to local eateries that I would have never looked for is really fun. More so with the small group of people, who by the end of the 3 hours of eating, drinking and walking around, they're more like your friends than just strangers that you met on a tour. The food is pretty "straight forward" Korean food, so nothing that will intimidate or "gross-out" the average person; thus, if you're looking for "challenging" Korean food, like live octopus, this is not that sort of tour. That said, it's just about the food, it's about the company, and this tour is a lot of fun.

Hello, I’m Hiley Gaona. I want to visit south Korea whit my sister, and I want to use your service. But I have some questions.
First, How much cost to do a food tour to 7 days? (remembering that going to travel 2 people) . Do you give us the transportation?. Can we get around the city freelance or you have a specific routes?. Do you ensure the hosting or we have to do tha reservations?. Do You have security measures in case of a medical emergency?.
Thank you, I wait your answer.

Hello Hiley, this is Hailey who in charge of a private food tour at O'ngo. Thank you for contacting us and we would be happy to schedule the private tour for you. We always try to make the itinerary more flexible and suitable for the guests.
The cost of one full day tour(7 hours) would be $210 USD per person for a private car and an English speaking guide, admissions, and food. Rate can be changed by inclusions, currency rate, food, etc. For 7 days, it would be approx. $2,940 in total.
Our licensed private guide will move with you all the time and we would travel by a minivan. Meals in the tour will be focused on traditional and local food.
We would appreciate if you email for more inquires and details. Thank you for your time and hope to hearing from you soon.

Hi, my flight is schedule to reach Incheon at 4:30 pm, is that too late to join the Small-Group Korean Night Food Tour? Since it starts at 6:00 pm.
I would really like to join the tour.
Thanks

That would be too tight as it will take you a good 60-90 minutes to reach city center from airport! Huge city! But contact them - they are super lovely and accommodating and they speak fluent English so no language barrier! Have a great time in Seoul-Fab food and people!
It's cold so bring warm clothes!

Hi, I was recommended to use this company by friends who said a Korean adoptee- Dan- did tours here but I can't find him on your page or in any recent reviews. Does he still work here but doesn't do tours anymore? We saw him on TV and were hoping to meet him.

There is one person on our group that doesn't eat meat.
Are there any options for vegetarians (i eat fish though) on the Small Group Korean night food tour?
Written 21 February 2016
Thank you for your question and sorry for the late respond.
We had lots of vegetarian guests so don't worry about it :-)

Can anyone provide some detail as to communications with O'ngo. I made the $10 deposit but didn't receive any confirmation from the tour group. I followed up with an e-mail and am still waiting for a response. Was this the norm for you and did you just show up on the date you said you would? Thank you!
