The synagogue is well preserved and kept in perfect shape although the Yangon Jewish community is dwindling. The synagogue also shows documents about vivid Burmese-Israeli relations in 60s. The synagogue is located in Moslem quarter of the town and there are no extra security arrangements...More

Very interesting place to find in Yangon. It would be easy to walk right passed it as it's tucked between a few little Yangon shops. Very historical. The place has been kept in very good shape. You wouldn't spend much time here because it's quite...More

The Synagogue is a time capsule of the centre of Baghdadi Jewish life in Yangon. The caretaker is welcoming and one is free to take pictures.

Hard to find- but worth the hunt. Such an interesting history. Myanmar is the only place in SEA where I could visit a Synagogue, Catholic Church, Temple, and Mosque — all in one day.

I was traveling with a friend who wants to see as much history as possible and he had this place his list. I am very happy we visited. A truly unique site to see in Asia.

Beautiful old Synagogue, very nice to visit when in Yangon. Going with a tour guide is recommended because without it might be that you would miss or not understand all the impressive details of this temple. We went there with our lovely tour guide Cherry...More
