It’s splendid. If you are in Yangon this is the only place you can not skip visiting. Photos make no justice to this place.

You simply cannot miss visiting this pagoda if you are in Yangon. It's absolutely spectacular. Touristy and crowded but worth every bit of hassle. Visit at dusk for the most impressive experience

This is most incredible place to experience at sunset! The sheer size and scale is really breathtaking and even my 3 children felt calmed in the relaxing atmosphere of the blue hour. A must see for all visitors to Myanmar and Yangon!

Lovely place and in great condition. Note that all temples have dress codes. No shorts - no spaghetti straps etc and you have to remove your shoes. This temple does provide a traditional clothing for 5000kyat deposit if you are wearing shorts. Entry was 8000kyat.

We went there for sunset and experienced the most magnificient lights. Many but not too many people there. I wonder what it will be like in some years when more and more tourists come.

5000 kyat to get in when you're back packing is steep....but it is an amazing temple. There are so many different sections to it. Thousands of Buddha's and a huge pagoda. It's better to go either early or late in afternoon when walking barefoot on...More

I would try and visit in the evening. The light is magical and we enjoyed people watching too! The trouble I found was that I took so many different photographs.......😉
