Nothing special, but it is visible from far. Not too far from the Marriott Hotel. Can not go in, since it is locked.

It’s stripy tall and closed. It’s a lank mark but not an attraction. Drive past but no need to stop as it’s on not that inspiring

Our driver took us on a tour of the capital during our visit and we passed this landmark. It's nothing special but it's one of Guyana's tourist attractions.

Interesting lighthouse surrounded by buildings in the city. I didn't go in, but it was interesting from the outside, as much for its location as anything.

Still very neat to see an older landmark but this lighthouse is locked up and only able to be seen from the road. The lighthouse is blocked from the ocean by the nearby Marriott and a light has been mounted on the hotel.

It is a walk up a steep and winding climb with more that 100 stairs. Totally worth the climb when you get to the top. A birds eye view of the city and the Atlantic ocean. Takes your breath away.

Can't go inside and a sketchy neighborhood. It's an interesting look back into Guyana's history but much more could be done to make it worth a trip.

When I saw it in 2010 you could just see it from the bottom outside. You just passed by.
