One of the most beautiful theaters in Southamerica. All painted, in a magical area as Downtown Bogotá, in a place full of history. I´ve been here for a piano recital and orchestra concert. Hopefully someday for an opera.

The building is very impressive and they seem to have lots of performances. It is situated very close to universities.

Solid theater all around. There is a length history to this place, which was quite interesting to learn about. The theater itself is not an OMG wow spectacular site, but still worth the trip over. They also give tours too.

Our adorable guide, Emiliano, provided the assembled group with an articulate summary of the 125 year history of this amazing theater that - as architecture can - reflects much of the story of Colombian society and politics. I was charged with translating into English an...More

We had ours by special appointment. So the best is to randomly sneak in when they are selling tickets and ask for the privilege of having a glimpse.
