For a museum in the capital city, they must know that there will be plenty of non Spanish speakers visiting the museum; however, non of the descriptions were translated to English. Also, there are many school students on field trips. While it is good that...More

I had the honour to attend this museum ON Colombia's Independence Day. It was so great to see this museum and all the history for this great country. I highly suggest going especially with a translator as much of the information was in Spanish.

The Casa del Florero is a nicely restored colonial house right across from the Cathedral. If you speak Spanish be sure to take a guided tour. I especially enjoyed the lengthy explanation about cultural blending in colonial and modern Colombia.

This museum is located in a very important area for Colombia's independence history. It is small, but full of interesting information. I especially enjoyed the interactive activities to make you engage with the material. My only issue is the lack of information in English.

Very small ,but very special museum. The museum on it's own doesn't have much to show and is limited in space because it's located in a colonial house right on the corner of Bogota's plaza Bolivar. DO ask for the free guided tour as it...More
