The square is likely to be the oldest part of Bogota. The are some nice streets around and there are a lot of students hanging around the place.

This is a very touristic spot, but it's worth it. The area has very quaint streets and cool bohemian restaurants. It also has a lot of graffitis and available free tours. It's really worth it.

Although the plaza is currently undergoing renovations, the surrounding neighborhood is hip and funky to explore.
