We went there on Sunday. It is crowded but you can feel the real Bogota, all the locals are there, having fun, there are so many attractions.

We walked there late afternoon for a nice rising moon. Many people around but not hustling us which was really nice. Some graffiti on some of the government buildings sadly but it was a good experience with two Michael Jackson's performing with some guests joining....More

Plaza Bolivar could be a nice place, it has this typical Spanish colonial organisation with the cathedral and the official buildings. All are well maintained and it could be a nice visit. However to enjoy it you have to cross the swarm of pigeons always...More

It's quite a beautiful and historic spot. The govt buildings near the cathedral are all with the hike. Don't miss it.

When this place has gained cafes and restaurants might be worth visiting - until then do go and see to marvel at brutalist architecture alongside one colonial building left - but don’t expect too much

Worth visiting the square. Is helpful if you go with a guide as they can provide some background and insight. Impressive and a good place to simply sit and watch the people. All sorts.

The unmissable South America square. Huge place with lovely historical building all around. Downside full of pigeons.

I loved this plaza-it had such a Colombian vibe. It was such a nice place to walk around and “take it all in”. A lot of street food vendors and hawkers. Grab a coffee and enjoy this gem
