An educational tour of a unique land formation. Road travel remains a challenge, but there is adequate parking once you find it.

Rafael was very nice and informative. We had a little confusion with our pick-up location because expedia provided the wrong one. So make sure you confirm directly with the company beforehand to make sure you meet at the right place! The salt cathedral was amazing a MUST see. The town of Zipaquirá was also really nice we visited the cathedral in the main plaza. Rafael also gave us great suggestions of things to do in Bogotá. Thank you!

You can use a tour guide or just take the tour your self. Make sure the wear comfortable shoes. Its about 3 to 4 hours of walking and its just an amazing site. It does get a bit cooler so taking a jacket would be good. Other wise have fun and enjoy also try to get there early if you attend on the weekend.

The salt mine of Zipaquirá is where you can find the very famous salt cathedral. It is located in the municipality of Zipaquirá, two hours from Bogota if you go by the tourist train in the town of Usaquén or one hour by bus. It is suppedly the largest salt reserve in the world, the Salt Cathedral sits 590 feet (180 m) underground where you can take guided tours in different languages

We did the Sunday bike tour with Raphael, an excellent English speaking guide who showed us many things along the way. They even came with the bikes to our hotel and we were lucky to be the only guests.

It would be great if they would provide better bikes for the money

I was brought to not one but two different salt mine attractions. They spent a lot of time and personal service to make sure I was happy and YES I WAS!

Viva Colombia!

I always think that the best way to get to know the city is by bicycle. Bogota is the capital (or one of) the bicycles, so I could not stop giving a spin. I thought I was going to take the bike and I would go alone, but it was much better to do it with Rafa's guide, who is very kind, took some extra time to show me the city better and what I wanted to see, flexible, how i like and also With an interesting and pleasant talk. Highly recommended! Viva Colombia!

We booked a tour through Ride Colombia, and Rafael, the owner of the company took great care of us. Rafael speaks great English and knows the city like the back of his hand. He is soft-spoken and totally customer focused. My wife and I hired him for a half day tour of the city after trying bike rental with another company that also provides tours. His bikes were new (unlike the other company) and we had a great time. He took us on some great bike routes that we would never have thought of taking where there was less traffic but interesting sights none the less.

We wanted to see some great graffiti and Rafael knew tons of good spots to go to. He actually maintains a massive graffiti photo collection online. He was very flexible with our tour, incorporating the restaurant where we wanted to have breakfast into our personalized itinerary. He kept the pace of the tour comfortable for us, especially for my wife who does not ride as much.

We were very happy that we chose to see the city on a bicycle. It's really the best way to get a good look if you are interested in getting a good feeling of the local culture. If you do it on Sunday morning you can participate in the unique Sunday bike ride that takes over the whole city (Cyclovia). We found Rafael through Hostel Casu, a very friendly hostel in the Candalaria. We didn't have time to do trips outside the city but Rafael offered to set up other tours as well. We would have done them if we had the time, since we felt very comfortable with Rafael as a conscientious, considerate and trustworthy tour guide.

In our opinion, you could do no better than Bike Colombia, and Rafael for a bike or other tour ina nd around Bogota.

Thank you very much for choosing us, it was a real pleasure to ride around the city with you and your wife. We try to get new friends more than customers and you and your wife definitely are part of our friends!
