You can walk around the area from the puerto. The church is beautiful and the Faro is also nice, but you cannot go up.

A very nice lighthouse. The lighthouse is kept in very good condition. You can only view the outside as the is no entry.

Start with a very slow walk around the port side of Punta del Este, head towards the sea front and around the peninusla. We actually started at SOHO restaurant by the port, so we were very well fed before starting Stop at the old Citroen?...More

If you come to this area to see the Iglesia Candelaria, you can't miss this lighthouse. I'm not sure if you can go inside, but it worth some photos from outside.

It's a nice lighthouse but you can't go inside. The best part of the lighthouse is the blue church next door which is very pretty.

The lighthouse is located at the highest point on the peninsula and is approx. 500 metres inland. It is a good reference point on the walking route from the cruise ship landing point.

This lighthouse is not easily accessible to go up but it is situated in a very nice part of the town with a lot of history around it. Good if you combine it with a visit to the church
