My hotel in Abu dhabi had booked us a round of golf, whihc I paid for over the telephone when booking. When arriving at Abu dhabi city golf I was not sure that it was the correct place, therefore asked the receptionist repeatedly if they had received our booking and they confirmed they had, they took another charge of my card and said they preivious one had been cancelled as it was booking purposes only.
When I returned to the UK i found that I had been charged by two different golf clubs for a round of golf, I have tried to rememdy the situation, but both clubs have failed to get back to me on the matter.
The golf course was ok, lots of maintanence going on, and only one drink station was open, which when its 42 degress is not really very good.
I would not recomend this golf club on the basis of my treatment alone and there are far better clubs to play at in Abu dhabi

We apologise for the unfortunate situation you had in Abu Dhabi with regard to your golf booking. We correctly charged you for the round of golf you had here but cannot comment on why you were charged by the other Golf Club. I suggest you take it up with the Hotel that made the reservation as it seems it was done twice for two different Golf Clubs. Sorry you didn't have a good time here (there are five free water stations based around the Golf Course and one main hut that you pass twice in 9 holes, four times 18 holes that serves snacks and refreshments). Yes there are other Golf Clubs in Abu Dhabi but they charge considerably more for you to play them.

The ‘People’s Course’ is a hidden gem in Abu Dhabi.
Although only a 9 hole course, it is challenging, tough greens and local rules - not to be taken for granted!
The reception staff endeavor to facilitate your needs, very flexible and extremely professional.
Great Golf, great food, great staff!!

One of the first European golf championships of the year.
Most of golfs highest ranked players were there.
From entering the complex via taxi the organisation was excellent. Quick security check, friendly staff, everything well signed, toilets etc. Even ATM machines on entry in small covered stand.Access to all areas of course was easy as was getting very close to all the players either on the many stands or on the course.
Course facilities were very good, all round the course with snack tents and portable trolleys selling everything from water to beer and cider as well as food.
As soon as competition was finishing music, live bands lots more bars, kids entertainment, food tents all opened up in 3 different areas making it fun and lively.
The overall experience was brilliant and agin very well organised.
And easy to catch transport away back to hotels and accomodation

Booked for a couple to play and asked as we are high handicap not to be paired with anyone if possible. But we was paired with 2 locals who play in the amateur leagues! Both guys where excellent players and was very helpful navigating around the course and never complained at our slower pace. And even tried to offer a little advice and lots of encouragement . Course is well maintained and a pleasure to play . Defiantly would recommend playing.

Played as a 4-ball at weekend and they give a special price for this. Normally 345 but 280dhs if you play as 4-ball.
Course is similar to Meydan but nicer, and a bit easier. It is well maintained and surprisingly for a 9 hole course pace of play was good. We teed off at 9am and finished at 11am. Staff were friendly and helpful.
PS it is flood light.
Only gripe was that service in the clubhouse for lunch was very very slow. Took ages to get attention of waiter and food was very slow to arrive, and they weren't that busy.

Hit sub 80 for the first time and celebrated with ‘eats’ with my wife.
Executive chef Rajeev turns a simple menu item into a culinary delight, the Lobster Thermidor and Red Snapper dishes were spectacular!!

I had ordered seafood pizza, I thought pizza would be a good choice for a place you visit for the first time, it was the worst pizza I ate in the whole world period.

We are regular visitors here but last two visits have been terrible. Service has gone downhill dramatically - sat whilst people working talked - nobody interested in taking orders - should have walked out. Previous time one of our party asked to go to the kitchen to collect his order. Shame - this place used to be good and has so much potential
We will not be back whilst the current service levels are maintained or not as the case maybe!!!

This is the best course anywhere.....perhaps I'm basis having lived and played in Abu Dhabi for many years....was there last April...the course is lush and beautiful as ever although the greens were suffering from the January championship. Beautiful club house...friendly service. Best Nov to April.

Both my children attend the junior academy here and really enjoy lessons. They play intra club junior tournaments so experience the course and appreciate this. Teaching is a high standard and most of all they make it fun. Nice setting and we often use the restaurant facilities in the main club house - reasonable menu but good evening specials / theme nights. Recommended - especially the golf tuition - great, family friendly fun
