Tree of Life is alive again, my last trip there was in 2008 and without the intervention, it would probably be dead by now. Now there is 24/7 guard on duty to stop people burning the tree and it is worth visiting again. There is even a small museum for the tree done:) If you like to see a mystery tree growing in the middle of nowhere, that is the place to go. 1 big tree on top of the small hill with nothing else around it!

In the middle of the desert, with no source of water, the Tree of Life a 441 years old tree which is a rare site and should be declared as one of the ondear of the modern world. The positive elements of his place attracts you deep i to the woods and the myth is donate some water and make a wish and if it comes true, come back again to thank the Tree of Life…. Must to do list when in Manama……

A group of us decided to visit this sacred site on Easter Sunday. The area was very well kept and they had lots of information about the history of the tree, in an under cover area out of the hot sun. Everyone was very respectful and quiet in the area and the day we visited there were only 10 other people there.

When I was asked if I wanted to go into a hot desert to see a lone tree, I laughed. Then when it was explained to me how this natural beauty has survived hundreds of years of being in the desert, I was intrigued. For me, this live miracle represents strength and survival. Glad I went. Unfortunately the guard mentioned a tourist sat on one off the branches and the limb fell off. That was so unfortunate.
