- Adam אדם GHerzliya, Israel5 contributionsCome to see the uniting threads of being a jewIt was our third visit to this totally renewedhistorical mieum of the Jewish people. There is always what to see and explore. - saul gTel Aviv, Israel1,221 contributionsAn excellent must !Located within the impressive TLV university campus, ANU is a must visit museum for Jewish heritage and history. There is a very good guided tour (45 minutes). Tsvi was our guide: Friendly, knowledgeable and informative. But you need at least 3 to 4 hours to cover the beautifully presented and interesting variety of subjects the museum holds/offers. If you need a break during your visit - there is a nice cafeteria. Highly recommended.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 January 2024

I liked mostly the part where adults and children can "cook" traditional Jewish dishes via screens and special techniques. It was so. Unique.Visited May 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 25 April 2024

Can easily spent 5-6 hours here with a break downstairs at the Aroma Cafe (recommend the cheese boureka stuffed with pickles, egg, and technia) + lemonade. A fantastic survey of Jewish history and Jewish pride with a 10/7 exhibition at the moment that is extremely moving. I'm not sure why this museum isn't more on the beaten path for visitors! It's fantastic and well-worth a stop.Visited July 2024Travelled soloWritten 31 July 2024
- Avihay S12 contributionsA great option for families at any time, and especially on hot summer days!A beautifully designed, interesting and interactive museum. The “Heroes Gallery” is so much fun for kids (and also for adults!), highly recommended!! Pay attention that you need to purchase tickets specifically for this gallery in advance (on the high season, a few days before at least). For us, a family with kids between 4-8 yo, the visit was 1.5 hours at the Heroes Gallery, then a short break for snacks, and then 1.5 hours at the rest (the main section) of the museum. Adults can spend a lot more at the main section of the museum. An easy recommendation! 10/10Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 12 August 2024

We were told by the staff at the Jaffa Clock Tower TI that the main exhibits of the Beit Hatfutsot were now open. Taking them for their word, we went out to the museum and were sorely disappointed. The staff at the ticket desk didn’t tell us most of the exhibits were closed and we were charged the full 49 NIS each to go into two small temporary exhibits, one of which was poor.
At this point it is absolutely not worth the trek or the admission fee to go to the Beit Hatfutsot. We waisted much of a day for a sub-par museum experience.

Shalom Dear Randall,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the unpleasant experience you went through.
The museum's new core exhibition is set to open in October 2020, and will be displayed throughout 3 new floors, including more than 1300 artifacts and original collection.
At present, we display five permanent and temporary exhibitions.
"Hallelujah! – Synagogues Past and Present”; “Let There Be Laughter” - Jewish Humor Around the World; “Heroes” - an exhibition about 145 Jewish trailblazers; "Operation Moses: 30 Years After, an exhibition unfolding the story of the Ethiopian Jews’ Aliya and integration in Israel; “Capturing History – Chim” - a retrospective on the life and work of Chim - David Seymour - one of the greatest photojournalists of the first half of the twentieth century; and one lobby display: a special performance art display in memory of Leonard Cohen - I’m Ready My Lord.
We welcome you to visit us again as the new core exhibition opens.

Last time I was there was about 30 years ago and what a difference. They have succeeded in incorporating high tech with a celebration of diversity. Unless you have a good understanding of Jewish history I would recommend taking a guided tour or using their headphones. One problem was that there was almost nowhere to sit and after an hour or two … I assume they did that to maximize space and keep people moving. Also, many of the active stations have only two - four headphones which means if there are people before you, you may have to wait. As a "student of history" I did have some questions about who they choose to represent the various eras and fields, but in all it was very enjoyable.

Museum ANU The Museum of the Jewish People is located within the campus of Tel Aviv University. It is on the site of what was Beit HaTefutsot.
But this new revamped museum, is a must visit for anyone interested in the totality of the Jewish people from all over the world.
We went on an tour with ANU'S informative exciting guide NADIA who gave a Cook's Highlight tour of this extensive museum. We all had time to review and enjoy the exhibits
We will return with grandchildren
This museum is hands on experience for all the family.
When we went there were many school children in the museum making it feel ALIVE.
Great place a Must visit. BUT even better arrange first with NADIA- A super guide

Museum is located within the campus of Tel Aviv University. We traveled there by taxi from Jaffa on a Monday, and it took about 20 minutes time. After purchasing tickets on the ground floor, you are met by a docent that describes the museum to you, advising you to start at the top floor and work your way down. There are a lot of interesting exhibits about the Jewish people and the diaspora, with signs in both Hebrew and English. Many of the exhibits are interactive which kept the children interested.

Went to see the 1000! years old Sasoon Bible, which was on display for 5 days only at the ANU Museum of the Jewish People in Tel Aviv. The 12 kgs Bible, hand written on parchment is the second oldest Bible manuscript, 500 years prior the invention of printing, and passed for a whole millennia unknown how and where it has been until purchased in the early 20th century by a wealthy Jewish merchant named Sasson, Hence its current name the Sasoon Kodex. The priceless manuscript which holds 92% of the full Bible text will be placed on auction by Sotheby's. The Bible was placed in a special transparent casing and drew awe from everyone that came close. Looking at this magnificent piece of Jewish heritage and knowing that indeed it might be the only time in one's life to see it, has been overwhelming.

The museum is interesting, well done, and informative. However, it is really politically correct. The museum highlights racism, women at every chance, gays, etc. The exhibit starts out talking about the Jewish experience in the US with the challenges Jews have faced, when in reality America has been a golden land for Jews. If you can skip the incredibly liberal and pc views thrown in all over, this is still worth seeing.

An extraordinary visit in its quality, I escaped from the zoom to the museum, a personal protest against the wave of anti-Semitism, a three and a half hour tour that forces me to deal creatively with fundamental questions about our people. My luck played for me and a guide named Zika {yes, after Kibbutz Zikim} guided me on the 3rd floor, a tour that went by quickly, a fascinating and enriching tour, a unique experience, I recommend everyone to visit the museum "Ano" and be filled with strength and positive energy in these charged days. And if Zika will be your guide, you will find yourself captivated. I left the museum rich in spirit.

We took some visitors to this museum and we found it interesting and enjoyable. Especially the exhibition on Jewish humor. It is the first time I've come out of a museum laughing. Cant really say I learnt anything knew but it was interesting to see something so familiar exhibited in such a way.

This is not a place to find out if you are Jewish or not. They have no answer to such a question. But otherwise, they have a very powerful family tree tracing system, and if your family is there, you may find a lot
