About
Following two devastating wars and 20 years of enemy occupation, the Jewish Quarter of Old Jerusalem was reconstructed with great attention to harmonious architectural detail. The highlight of the quarter is the excavation of the Cardo, the ancient Roman market street.

Unlike the Arab quarter, there isn't as much shopping but it can be just as confusing to walk around. Although, there are some shops this is more residential than the Arab or Armenian quarters. There are some very interesting old market streets that have been uncovered and on display here.

Beautiful place built on the ashes left by the Romans, the Crusaders and the Jordanians between others, with multiple spots witnessing the journeys of Jews in and out of this place

We found the Jewish Quarter to be interesting, safe, clean and pleasant. In addition to the Western Wall and Tunnels, the Hurva Synagogue, the Golden Menorah, the Crado and cute, cobblestone covered narrow alleys, it also has a many quaint cafes and terraces where you can enjoy tasteful bagels, cappuccinos, fresh juices etc. It's safe, it's clean and it all makes visiting it a pleasant experience indeed.

One of the 3 traditional quarters of the Old City of Jerusalem that we explored, first visiting the Christian Quarter, then the Armenian, then the Jewish as we walked to their holiest site passing by Western Cardo and Golden Menorah before reaching the Western Wall.

Includes the western wall, the western wall tunnel, the cardo, the hurva synagogue, the archaelogical park. I liked the Muslim and Christian quarter better, but they are all next to each other and must be seen.

The Jewish Quarter is one of the four traditional quarters of the old city of Jerusalem and was largely rebuilt after 1967. The closest entry is through the Zion Gate; fortunately, we had a guide to follow through the winding streets and alleys. The Jewish Quarter is home to about 2,000 residents as well as synagogues, shops, restaurants and food stalls. Most interesting to our group was a visit to Cardo Maximus and the Western Wall.

We always end up in the Jewish Quarter. It's clean and peaceful. There are some great restaurants and good shopping here too.

Jerusalem is divided into several 'quarters' for the ethnic groups who live there, and this is the most impressive and iconic - especially for Jews and Christians. Historical sites, teeming alleys, shops selling everything
