Very small, but still cool to see used Israeli 'junk'. We look for license plates, but no one there sells any. Can walk from the cruise ship. It is just past that tall building that looks like a sail. Cabs are hard to get in Haifa, so walk instead of giving them your money. Public busses work, but the bus system in Israel, just like the entire country is not set up for tourism. Gotta buy a bus ticket first somewhere else. Good luck finding out where. And gotta pay in shekels. So gotta find an exchange place first. You will walk more doing all this than just walking directly to the place.
But most importantly do not confuse this flea market with a nearby local VEGETABLE MARKET !
and remember in Israel, information booths are rarely open, employees of bus companies rarely speak English, same with security guards, etc, so don't bother asking them. Your best sources of info and directions will come from the more intelligent people you meet on the street. They are friendly and helpful.

This is a genuine flea market - it is NOT for tourists.
On regular days, there is a small selection of shops, most of them used furniture and housing contents from people who passed away.
On Saturdays, shoppers from all over the north come to find bargains - you will be shopping with Philipinos, Indianans, Arabs, Jews - you name it.
Vendors come with a large assortment of stuff gathered from everything from garbage cans to cleared warehouses.
If you have a good eye, you will find something nice for small money.
Haggling is a must.
However, if you are into fancy flea markets with beautiful and expensive antiques - do not waste your time.
This market is for the locals - its crowded, full of stuff and cheap.
As a flea market fanatic - I recommend it.

Wasn't so impressed ..at first, then after half an hour found all kinds of treasures! one or two stalls are expensive but most is reasonable certainly cheaper than Tel Aviv. We went on a rainy day in November ,half the flea market hadn't opened but we still spent a couple of happy hours 'rooting'. Right across from the market is one of the best humus restaurants I've ever eaten at....excellent. Looks unpromising but just sit down ,order and enjoy. This area is certainly not for the snobbish. a real flea market.

As a lover of vintage furniture and clothes I shop regularly at the Haifa Fleamarket.
The market is huge with street sellers shops and galleries. The wonderful thing about this market is that it is open on a Saturday. During the week the market has less items for sale on the pavement and can be a little bleak but Saturdays its buzzing from 8am till 4pm.
Its nice to make a day of it and go and eat humous and chips at Abu Marwan under the minaret. There is also a nice little fleamarket Cafe. You can also admire the old arab stone buildings of Wadi Salib where the market is situated.

Great place to visit, lots of nice items, of course lots of trashy things too like you would always expect at the flea market, but you may also find some great items if you look carefully. I ended up leaving with a set of ink paintings and a vintage unpacked bottle of French wine from the 50s.

You gotta look and seek to find your choice but there are plenty of special items to choose from. I found great vintage lamps for pennies - feel free to negotiate your price, you better! If you like antiques and vintage, head over there for some interesting finds.

We went here today based on previous review & couldn't wait to find the next taxi out, it seems to be a second hand market for the very poor, there is a lot of old junk, no sign of crafts, or anywhere decent to eat.

This area of Haifa's lower city ( Ha-ir ha- tachtit, close to the port) is not pretty although there are several interesting stone structures, incl. a church and a mosque, nearby. The flea market is chaotic and messy and browsing is not always pleasant, but exciting stuff is lurking behind the shoddy facade. If you get tired, the excellent Glida Romanian restaurant is next door at 23 Kibbutz Galuyot.
Better mititei ( kebabs) than in Romania itself and a vintage atmosphere.Closed on Sundays.

Stores and outdoor stands spread over a number of streets...a genuine flea market selling 2nd hand whatever that comes from wherever ... the same goes for the customers and sellers ... worth a mornings stroll on the weekend.
