We were in Istanbul for a layover last month and decided to take advantage of the Turkish Airlines free tour. The bus was comfortable, the tour fairly well organized, and the tour guide pleasant enough. Unfortunately, we got caught in traffic in front of the...More

Two of us took the 16:00 - 21:00 walking tour in April 2018.
The actual tour is much shorter than this. May be only 3.5 hours.
Dinner of Ottoman cuisine is provided for free... as part of the tour.
I enjoyed very much the simple...More
We were debating whether we had time to do the 16.00 hrs to 21.00 hrs tour since passport control took ages. However we were lucky as we made it to the Turkish Airlines Hotel Desk (right next to Starbucks) which on preparing to exit airport,is...More
We chose the 9am-6pm tour. Our tour guide made us run throughout the tour. Did 5 so called places of interest in 90 minutes. I had been to a few tours but never this rushed.

This is a great idea by Turkish Airlines to offer this trip to travellers with long lay overs. You do need a visa to exit the airport but it is worth it. We did the 9.00 - 3.00 trip. We were met by the guide;...More

Turkish Airlines offers a lovely free tour when you have a long layover, inclusive with breakfast, lunch and on certain days a skip the line tour of the Hagia Sophia (and the line was really long on the day we visited).
I am very glad that I took up this opportunity from Turkish Airlines, though because I was on a relatively short tour from 09.00 to 15.00, there wasn't really enough time to pause, take photos and buy a few souvenirs. But the guide was good...More
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
