Today Anadolu Kavagi is a sleepy fishing village located near the narrowest part of the Bosphorus. But the ruined castles, fortifications and ancient temples that surround it show how strategically important the area has been for millennia. The hills above the village give a beautiful view of the water and a welcome respite from city noise.

This was the only stop before returning back on the Bosphorus Cruise. Cute little town. Very quiet and it’s a good little stop to have a Turkish coffee, tea, smoke hookah or have some ice cream before boat ride back. Very quiet here

The walk up to yoros castle is definitely worth it, and you should have ample time to complete the walk as well as sit down for a lunch if you come on the SH Bosporus cruise. Stay away from Mercan Aile, and perhaps be careful...More

What a peaceful place. It's clean, quiet and easy to relax. Got there by metro from Taksim, walked to Sariyer and then the ferry to Anadolu. Great day out.

Took the ferry from Istanbul for the full Bosphorus trip for 25TL which gives you about 2 and half hours in the village which is in Asia. More than enough time to walk to the castle which is in fact closed but there is a...More

A very cosy, nice, friendly place, beautiful view from the castle, it's worth climbing up there. Good fish restaurants. Sempati Cafe is a very good place, they have really tasty sweets, and the service is more than friendly. We enjoyed being there.

Nice little village catering to tourists on the Bosporus cruise. There are a few restaurants and souvenir shops. We enjoyed getting ice cream and drink and taking a few photos before boarding the cruise back to Istanbul.

In Kavagi , you can walk up to Yoros catle which is a huge stone tower that you can see from outside only. The way up is exhausting if you are not fit enough, but the sea view is adorable as you go up. There...More

Here is my recommendation to fellow Istanbul tourists: take the full Bosphorus cruise from Eminonu, Besiktas or Uskudar with Istanbul City Line (Istanbul Sehir Hatlari) boat. The boat goes all the way up to Anadolu Kavagi where Yoros Castle is located. The boat stops at...More

Just forgot to mention, there is a Tourist Information Center at Eminonu Pier. They could help out regarding the ferry or any other questions. I wish you a great time.
