Istaklal street is the main tourist attraction shopping street. I love the local Turkish brands as they are long lasting and economical. Great value for money. Istiklal has all local designer brands. You can find artists performing as well with music and dance!

I loved this area because I accessed a lot of shops for shopping and there are a variety of local and international restaurants to choose from. Walking is a must in order to enjoy the views, I suggest that you wear the right shoes.

Lovely street for a peaceful walk, there are some shops for shopping such as sephore, zara, nike, mango, but best of all are the food stands. Would recommend you go for a nice walk

Do not go without exploring the side passages which is like a treasure chest, or without going on the tram. Skip commercial places like Madame Tussaud’s, and rather visit places of historical significance.

There are lots of shops and restaurants that you can enjoy in this street. You may find street performers and enjoy some street food. The only issue is that it’s a very very busy place.

Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal
Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night
and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights,
shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of
people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive
Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of
the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned
restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening
