This enormous palace was the Imperial residence of Ottoman sultans for almost 400 years. Although much of the palace is not accessible, the daily tours of the Harem are of great interest to tourists.

A great palace. It takes time to complete walk around in it as it is founded on a huge area. The most beautiful part to me is where you can see Bosphorus. You need to pay for the entrance but if you have a Museum Card you can use it to enter.

If you wanna go here make sure you allocate 2 hours and above. Just walk around and read some of the histories of the Ottoman Empire. Look at the swords and all the Islamic history. The view was great but there is some construction which I think I am a bit unlucky. Overall it is

TP is, IMHO, the main Istanbul attraction. It is a rather large place to see and appreciate, which is not limited to the palace complex itself and includes several gardens nearby. You might want to consider visiting TP a few times (as we had done) to better appreciate it. Harem
